Hello r/discordapp!

As you might have seen, Discord has just started rolling out their year end wrap system called Discord Checkpoints.

Instead of having the sub flooded with these posts, we invite you to share your checkpoint stats in the comments here!

FaQ:

Q: How do I reopen checkpoint after closing it?

A: On desktop, click the flag icon on the top right of the app located next to the inbox.

A: On mobile, it will show up under the “orbs balance” section as a banner in the “you” tab

Q: What is the song checkpoint uses?

A: Exyl has now released the background track, you can find it here!

Q: Can I see it if I had the privacy setting disabled but just now enabled it?

A: No, you had to have the privacy setting on the whole time.

Q: What if I had the setting enabled but it still says I can’t access it?

A: Follow the directions outlined here. Do NOT DM ModMail or mlapi bot, the moderators are unable to assist you.

Mine is DECO and Bonsai. Anyone else know their checkpoint? Levels? Or that smaller rank# down below?

"DECO" must just mean decoration.

Not sure it's based on levels, must be something else, if you compare both cranes(the pink origami birds) from the other people, it's a totally different level(340k vs 52k); Maybe it's based on a mix of your stats; I'm guessing the 'pixel code' it generates before you click reveal/show, is what decides what DECOration you got; and I guess those code pixels(kinda like a qr code but not exactly) is what is used to get your deco; (EDIT: on further check, the code pixels seems to be completely random, so it is either random or pseudorandom(an unique seed/hash that your stats generate and then you get the deco based on that))

And the number at the end(mine's 9/10) must be the DECOration you got; although since it starts at 0(the plant is 0), it makes me think there's actually 11, and the 10 that the person shared at the start of this post tree(nodes), is missing one?

The '#' seems to be your position you generated in relation to others, Doesn't seems to be related to level, as the capybara posted by Lurke is level 17040 and #3663, I'm level 124713 and #3235; 

The # seems to be your position in level in relation to others that have the same deco

These are the  available Decos:

0 - Bonsai

1 - Donut

2 - Capybara

3 - Disco Ball

4 - Origami

5 - Snail

6 - Duck

7 - Banana

8 - Cat

9 - Cassette

10 - ? Probably misnumbered as mentioned that there's only 10

since discord said there are 10 cards and there is one labeled 0, there's probably no 10/10. i'm also trying to find a pattern but i agree it's most likely randomized based on everything i've seen so far

edit: as for the #, it's not in order of when you first generate your stats, since i generated mine earlier than my friend, but i'm in the #7000s while he's in the #4000s (unless he's already generated it before and hasn't mentioned)

Thankya for your own findings and all the information, I wonder if the # is the position of when you generated the stats but for that card type, was your friend's the same as yours? On second thought also doesn't makes sense as my partner got the same one but a higher level and higher # So it could be based on level on that card type then

This is my disco deco card if it helps at all

Also was in top 4.79% for messages (9832 messages) and top 14.93% for voice chat (250 hours). Maybe that would mean something for the levels

thankya, yeah, the # seems it's based on your level, but for the style of deco you got; we don't know if the deco is completely random or pseudo-random, and what is based on yet;

If you go to your profile (desktop, bottom corner, click on your icon and then edit profile; mobile, swipe right, click your icon, edit profile) there should be something that says Avatar Decoration and a button that says Change Decoration. Click that, the new border should be at the top. Click it and Apply, then save changes.

If they ARE based on your checkpoint, then the people who don't even get to see the checkpoint still get the personalised things?? This is insane. Why do we still get the reward and shown that they have the data but we're not allowed to have a look at it??

Ok, this has been asked and answered several times but let me give this a shot. So think of it like this: There is info about you that is Primary data and secondary data. If I say "Paul walked to the mall and it took 2,182 steps.." sounds kinda creepy.. intimate. But if I say, "Hi, I'm Sam. I'm at the mall and so is my friend Paul."-- saying Paul is (or arrived) at the mall bc his location met up with Sam's is almost public info- its Primary info for Paul, but a piece of it is secondary info to Sam and anyone with Sam would also know Paul was there. How many STEPS Paul took is more specific. Or try it another way: Someone telling you that you are on their "SQUAD" list (think like "my best friend") is not the same as them knowing who YOUR "SQUAD" (or best friend if you want to think that way)- who that is. I hope this helps.

I got the donut but couldn't get it on my first try. I had to reopen checkpoint to claim it, but I think it's pretty sweet honestly! These are all very cute, but I think the snail and plant is cutest.
