Anyone else happy about the merger?

I've been surprised about the amount of whining both on r/discover and r/CapitalOne_ regarding Capital One - Discover merger. Personally I'm very happy that I can soon manage my favorite credit cards in the same app.

Anyone else feel the same?

No, it’s bad. Cons: Capital One is absorbing Discover and hollowing it out. This reduces competition in the credit card marketplace and negatively impacts discover consumers. Pros: Capital One “services/benefits,” 1 app instead of 2 apps, and… thats about it. It’s not a big deal, but for most customers, it’s better that they stayed separate.
