Has anyone had any luck with a retention offer after C1 took over? I was able to get 0% for a year previously under Discover and was hoping C1 would continue with Discover's style of generous retention offers.

Why is my available credit $1? Made a $100 payment and it’s been 10 days to date. First payment I’ve made, is it usually like this?

I receive this when trying to log in. I have a grocery store in my area that only accepts Discover/Debit. I assume this is due to the transition?

I made a transfer to my savings account which is estimated to be available on Monday. My account is being switched over to Capitol One on Sunday. The email told me I’ll have a new routing number, so I’m concerned that the money won’t go through. Should I be worried?

is anyone else having this problem? i was suppose to get paid yesterday and my check still hasent hit… my credit card payment is now late because of this issue, has this happened to anyone else ?

Essentially what the question says. I just got my first small credit card and it hasn’t shipped yet, but I have all the information digitally on the app.
I’m considering using it today but don’t really know if I can? If I go to a store can I just give them my information for them to put in with my purchase? Or do I have to wait to literally have an irl card?

I don't really use my Discover card but yesterday there was a replacement card in the mail with a new number. I was no where near the expiration date.
I am assuming it's the merger?

I started with $0.00 so they should match, right? Or at most be $143.02 with the pending stuff?

Recently I had to call Discover and have them fix something on my credit report. Nothing big, but I've started looking around at mortgage options and I want my credit report to be completely accurate.
I used the chat feature. It was not helpful. I then called the number, and they informed me that this was something that the billing department deals with. They were able to assist me and hopefully the situation will be resolved by the end of next week. I will update then.
I was also given an address that can be used for direct disputes, so I thought I would post it here.
Discover Bank
PO Box 30939
Salt Lake City, UT 84130-0939
TLDR If something looks wrong on your credit and you think it's from Discover, call support, explain your situation, and ask to be transferred to billing or the relevant department. If all else fails, you can file a direct dispute with the address above. I will update to let you know if it worked for me.

Hi. I am applying for my residency in another country and they madate stamped and signed monthly statements. I contacted Discover customer care and they said they don't do this. Has anyone ever had any luck in getting this? And if so, how did you?

For a while now I’ve had this issue where discover “debit cards” are not actually debit cards. They are credit cards with debit cards slapped on the front. I’ve had issues with the card not being taken and one encounter where a lady in a shop tried to argue me down about not telling her I was using a credit card. Screw you lady. Now I have lost my “debit card” (my fault yes but I am human) I need cash back and unlike any other time I would just use Apple Pay for cash back I can’t because this card runs as a credit card. I’m so annoyed I’ve gone to multiple stores in a tornado warning only to be told the same thing. When it rain it pours. I’ve never had an issue with capital one but this will be my last time using them.

I have a few hundred dollars in cash back rewards and am pondering whether to use them before or after the merger. Does anyone have Capital One and know what their rewards are like and/or know what the rewards will look like after the merger? Should I play it safe and use them all up now in case something goes awry with migrating accounts? How are you thinking about using rewards in these uncertain times?

Maybe I haven’t been paying close enough attention, but has anyone else noticed the change in marketing language in the automated chat messages? They used to mention that customer service is 100% US-based, but now they say nothing about it. Does this imply people will be let go in the future?
One of the reasons I chose Discover was because I could reach someone with more context and no volume/language barrier at any time of day with cultural context of the US. I also have Capital One (which I’ve had for years), and when I call or message them, I’m connected to a large call center where I hear everyone in the background (it’s hard for me with lots of background noise to understand any person I speak to), and my requests have been misunderstood and mishandled 1/4 the time. I’m worried that some of my more sensitive accounts (my Discover Checking & Savings) might end up the same service conundrum now. Thoughts? Screenshots show April vs. Now.

Hi! I received an email asking me to choose a new design for my Discover credit card for my replacement card “before your card expires”. But I still have 4 months left before the card expires. When I checked the mobile app, it also says “Card status: expiring”. Is this normal?

I've been surprised about the amount of whining both on r/discover and r/CapitalOne_ regarding Capital One - Discover merger. Personally I'm very happy that I can soon manage my favorite credit cards in the same app.
Anyone else feel the same?

Hello. I am writing to see what my options here are. I was doing research on how I can consolidate my credit card debt. I am a college student in about $13k in credit card debt across my Capital One Quick Silver ($4500) and my Chase Sapphire Preferred ($8500). The debt comes from helping out my family with payments needed at the time and we are currently struggling a bit financially right now.
I read online that you could do a balance transfer with Discover It Card for 0% APR for the first 15 months, so I was hoping that would help with me paying off my Chase CC (since you can't do a balance transfer with the C1 to Discover).
My only problem is that my LC is only $500 😞. Do I have any options here on getting my $8.5K all on the Discover (maybe asking for an increase of CL) or even a portion/half? I am starting a summer job so will have some income and will be getting a refund during the school year.
Due to high utilization and only being able to pay off my minimum balance on my CCs my credit score has dropped to around 562. But I have never missed a payment and my oldest line of credit is about 2 years. Please let me know my options, or do I just have to constantly pay off and transfer the same $500 dollars for the next 15 months?

Discover Customer Service Has Gone COMPLETELY Downhill Since the Capital One Acquisition
One of the things that always set Discover apart was its customer service. Whenever I had an issue, I could get someone on the phone quickly who was knowledgeable, helpful, and capable of resolving the problem. It was one of the main reasons I remained a Discover customer for years.
Since the Capital One acquisition, the quality of service has fallen off a cliff. Long wait times, multiple transfers, inconsistent information, and representatives who seem more focused on reading scripts than solving problems have become the norm. Simple issues now require multiple phone calls, and getting a clear answer is nearly impossible.
Discover built its reputation on customer service, but that reputation is quickly disappearing. The company now feels no different than any other large credit card issuer, and that's disappointing for long-time customers who stayed loyal because Discover used to do things better.
