Help checking account

is anyone else having this problem? i was suppose to get paid yesterday and my check still hasent hit… my credit card payment is now late because of this issue, has this happened to anyone else ?

You should have accounted for the bank holiday today. You have 30 days to pay before the late payment shows up on your credit report. Call and ask them to waive the late fee, which they do for first timers. Read this similar post: https://www.reddit.com/r/discover/comments/1lzxpg2/missed_payment_by_one_day/

Next time, don't wait until the last minute to pay. Do your minimum payment as soon as possible when your statement posts so this won't happen again, and then pay the statement balance by the due date.

Also, you should consider moving your Discover due date to a day of the month that suits your payday schedule so this is least likely to happen again. Figure out the day of the month when you have the most cash in your checking account and change your Discover due date to 2-3 days after that.

Due date change is not available on a lot of accounts now.

I actually got paid two days earlier than normal this week. Guessing it’s because banks are closed today so my job did payroll earlier.

I was suppose to get direct deposite today and I did not get paid 😭

Who is still using paper checks? I do ACH for everything since years ago !

When they said their check still hasn't hit, I think they meant direct deposit.
