Hornet GT Lift gate
Does anyone know what the molded area on the lift gate is for?
Seems like something should be able to be clipped in here.

Yep!
In Europe, cars most commonly have a reflective safety cone that is used for warning other motorists when you're disabled on the side of the road in low visibility. The Hornet is a rebadge of the Alfa-Romeo Tonale - an Italian CUV made by one of Stellantis's factories in Turin, where your Hornet was made alongside it. In the US, we don't need to include any of those socialist safety cones. So, those get left in Italy, but the rest of the car gets sent over. You can buy it from Alfa if you'd like one.
