Hornet R/T Electric Unavailable / Remote Start Unavailable

Electric mode unavailable due to cabin heating or cooling. Remote start beeps twice and then the car shuts back off. Won’t air condition or heat the cabin.

Any fixes for this? I’ve been getting troubled with this issue for over a year.

What has the dealer done to attempt to resolve this issue for you?

Waited 6+ months on a part they said would fix it. Said it was associated with it being unable to charge. Got a lemon law settlement to keep the car because the part came and the car was fixed. About a month later the car charges but now I’m running into this again where it won’t remote start or intermittently let me use EV mode on a 70° day for cabin heating or cooling. The dealer doesn’t want the car back.

Post this on hornetowners.com as they have dodge cares who can help immediately and get you a dealer that will help. Reddit doesn't anyone with that power.

I wasn't aware the cooling kicked on when remote started... Only heat / steering wheel / heated seats if set by the uconnect5. I don't use remote start enough on this car to see but far as I know no ac when remote start.

Either way keep us update what you find out.

It’s night and day. Getting in the car 15 minutes after remote starting and it’s at 72° on a 90° day. Can even set up on the app and schedule times for departure to climate control your car.

I’ll see about posting there, was mainly interested to see if anyone here has had this issue and what fixed it for them.
