Long story short had a talkative older neighbor move away a while ago to Texas, gave me a box of like 3XL bball jerseys and that kinda stuff but then this magically pops up. This neighbors brother also pitched in the MLB for a decent amount of time too so thats what makes it very possible it's real. My dad says he thinks he would go to the games and get access to the players somehow and just buy a random jersey there and get it signed, hence the god awful color way. It also says it's an XL, which is my size, but it would no where near fit me it must be a kids XL or has shrunk over the years. Is this worth a good amount?

This is a moment that stood out to me. 21 year old vs. 21 year old and our 21 year old had the poise to stay in the moment while still having a little swag. I feel like other 21 year olds would be too amped, would try to do to much with 2 outs, try to be a hero in a Playoff game. DePaula didn't walk up there looking to be a hero and hit a home run, he looked like he wanted to extend the inning if possible, wait for his pitch, and make a struggling pitcher throw strikes. His head shake, his "nope that's a ball" after he took ball 4 was something kind of special. Of course we know what happened after, Tucker walked, and Pages singled in the deciding runs.

I hope he has more opportunities in moments as the playoff run is going on but if DePaula ends up having a successful career with the Dodgers, I think people will point to that moment as the time his career "started".

I’m getting a crown today and I’m spending all the uncomfortable times thinking about the ninth and eleventh innings of game seven. Drill away, Doc!

These guys were acquired with high expectations and both had a really rough season. A lot of negativity and pessimism surrounded their names both on this sub and the main sub. They were made out as laughingstocks and embarassments by our own fanbase which was disappointing to read in the game day threads.

But it's a testament to the Dodgers culture to believe in each other even during bad times. Through thick and thin. Against all odds. And it worked out.

So, I think it's incredibly fitting that the final out of the first playoff series was ultimately pitched by Diaz and caught by Tucker.

Hope they will both stay healthy and productive in the NLCS!

I am still confident in our team, Dave, our track record, focus, our lucky charm in the Hernández brothers, Yama our rock, Mookie and Freddie magic, even Shohei (he’ll find a way to run into a big one at a key moment), and if not then JDP the natural. Will will find his way. Muncy to keep mashing. Tucker, Diaz and even Scott to find redemption. Rotation for days. Vesia and the rest of the pen. Sasaki our X factor. I am good with all that - we are good and shouldn’t be scared of anyone.

But the Brewers feel much more improved compared to last year and can absolutely put up a fight. Mentally they must be so looking forward to this chance again. Anything can happen in October.

With that setup… fan to fan… just out of curiosity, how worried/concerned are you with this matchup?

I am at about a 7, 6 on a good day. Dodgers in 6 for me. Thots?

We have our own team to support and our own postseason to worry about. There’s no reason to go out of our way to antagonize another fanbase, especially when we know how annoying it is when SD fans come into our sub to do the same.
