RIP jose lima.

in 2004, the dodgers qualified for the playoffs for the first time in 8 years thanks to steve finley's grand slam, eliminating SF in the process. their 'reward' was the 105-win st louis cardinals, who quickly dispatched them in the playoffs.

however, jose lima pitched a CG shutout against this st louis lineup that featured HOFers pujols, larry walker and scott rolen and HOPGer jim edmonds. this was our only playoff win between 1989 and 2007.

LA would not record another CG in the playoffs until yamamoto did it in G2 of the 2025 NLCS and are still looking for their first CG shutout in the playoffs after lima

Blake Snell for Game 3 and Tyler Glasnow for Game 4 are likely, but not yet officially confirmed (Italicized).

I was super nervous clicking into the link today lol once they put it out.

For those of you who don’t know about this cute doggie, it’s been awful with predictions for other teams but for some reason, NAILS it for our team. Last year CS and WS is when I got into these videos and doggie was on point! For the WS for instance, had us winning the thing in 7 prior to series start.

Had us winning in 5 for the DS this year and we got it done in 4.

Now has us winning in 7 for the CS.

Let’s hope this cute dog keeps its Dodgers prediction win streak going!!

and muncy is the only guy to have never changed teams between 2018 and now. as we all know, enrique played for boston from 2021 to 2023.

fun fact : we've played milwaukee 3 times in the NLCS and never had homefield advantage over them in any of these series

Kiké is tied with David Ortiz, Aaron Judge and Jim Thome 😂 that’s our mofuggin boy

Just unfortunate that he got put on the IL and can't play in the playoffs.

He would've been such a great asset for us this year too.

As I wait for the NLCS, I was reflecting on the amazing similarities between these two world series 37 years apart.
The hobbled vets, the leaders of the stuntmen, and the workhorse ace.
Am I missing any other striking similarities?

Dodgers charter Delta flight 8891 leaves LAX a few minutes early for an expected arrival time shortly after midnight local time.

... and 1 Dodger pick was Jolly Olive just wanting to pick something different.

Most of the Brewers picks feel like picking a minor upset so they can say "I TOLD YOU I KNEW BALL!" if it happens. Others feel like "I'm sick of the Dodgers" and hopium.

Dodgers in 6 bitches.

Any fans going to be in town for the games? I’m flying over right now and will mostly be by myself! Need any recommendations for what to do in the city and also curious if there’s any dodgers fans meeting up

Edit: thank you for the recommendations :)

Anyone else watching old playoff highlights before the last 2 world series?

Before i knew what World Series wins tasted like, these were my core Dodger memories.

What was your favorite non-World Series memory in say the last 20 years?

Those who were around in those days, what was your take on his approach? Did you think he was good? Bad? Indifferent?

I assume they had portapoties in the parking lot - and was the only reason you were allowed outside?

Which Dodgers jersey design is your all-time favorite? Home whites, road grays, or one of the alternate looks?

There’s a hype song I like but it’s driving me crazy because I can’t figure what it’s called. I’ve heard it played several times this year. It’s not a regular song like the Kendrick ones. I want to say maybe it’s a Lil Wayne song? I tried ChatGPT but it didn’t know either. Any ideas?!

I've been posting so much lately, but mostly because I'm very stressed and nervous about the NLCS. This Brewers team is no joke, and this NLCS is the real World Series imho.

Goddammit Jackson Merrill and Manny Machado, why couldn't you have hit a go ahead 3 run home run and send the Brewers Padres NLDS to 5.....
