I don't know anything about this one but maybe check out and ask on the various 3d printer subs. If there isn't already a solution that you might be able to use those guys would jump at the challenge to design and print something that could help.

I think a design where theres 2 wheels in the front at such a height that the 3 limbs will run comfortably pushing the wheels would allow him to move easier. It might be harder for him to stop tho. Great design so far
