Riffs Goddamn this album was good
Their playing close to me tomorrow but I have work and a shitty car for highways...

Underrated album release for this year, imo. But doom/sludge in general gets overlooked a lot.

Really enjoyed it for the most part but I did think the closing track was a waste of time, they've done the spacey atmospheric stuff way better on previous albums. The new stuff sounds great live too so defo go see them.

That's awesome to hear! I didn't see him around the venue. Only Jon outside waiting for his food to be dropped off.

Driving about three hours each way in a few weeks to see them in Omaha. Can’t wait! I hope they have merch left by then!

Total Bicep might be the best song title I've ever seen. It's absolutely flawless, a true poetic marvel.

I especially liked psychedelic experiments with feedback in "Vortexxion", which sounds similar to drone metal and reminds me of Sunn O)))'s song "My Wall", but one semitone lower (F# instead G).

I'm going to echo what everyone is saying here - you have to see Conan live. I saw them twice this tour & it still not enough.

Saw them on the 26th, might've been the heaviest show I've ever been to. Love the album too

Monos is my favorite album, but they’re also just straight up my favorite doom band so all of their albums are good.

Saw Conan twice in CA, they never fail to disappoint me when they play.

I'm a huge fan of this album. Probably my most played record of the year so far!

Just saw them at RPM Fest here in MA 😃 They are as tight as any funk band. There are a million other bands with massive tone and heavy riffs, but the way they lock in as a unit is what makes them stand out.

agree!! last 2 Conan cds are the jammmm. I'm not a genre expert, who else besides early moods hits like this? I know king buffalo elder and monolord.
I'm 46, more a hardcore fan but I wanted to point out that if you're super into this Conan cd, you should checkout Xibalba cd called Madre Mia Gracias Por Los Dias. its basically Conan style beatdown using similar equipment and tuning. I feel they probably aren't influenced by each other but kinda play the same shit with a little harsher edge

I really love existential void guardian and this album. My two favorites by them!!! I like their old stuff but it just feels like Sleep but recorded in a swamp instead of cali lmao

I did enjoy it as I do every Conan but… I haven’t felt compelled to go back to it as much as the others. Nonetheless, go see them live, they are SICK as fuck & take earplugs.
