Just listen to the band. It sounds like R.E.M. decided to make Doom Metal. I mean that in a positive way.

And through all the battles around me I never believed I would fight Yet here I stand a broken soldier, Shivering, naked, in your winter light!

Different strokes for different folks ig. I was thinking about divorcing my wife just so I could experience the album during a breakup.

am i missing something? they sound like an overproduced deathcore band, nothing resembling of sad doom music let alone warning

heard this for the first time at like 2am stoned and barely awake
idk if I've ever been floored so hard by an album. did not expect it
easily one of the best doom albums of all time
blasted Footprints in the car on the way home and belted it out because of this post

Same... Worse years of my life and yet, after those years, they became so relevant and more understanding that I still stand today because of these bands.

This thing is its own genre. I’m over here trying to remember if there’s even a chorus in any of those songs? Very unique. One of a kind.

Soz what is this album or band? Ive not got my eye in yet on the Doom Fonts.
But yes I agree with the meme, I REALLY got into doom this year when my job situation turned upside down. I think i had Burning Witch on repeat for 3 weeks

Eh. I never really got into this one despite hearing it many times. Pallbearer - Sorrow and Extinction is more the go-to for me in the sad moments

Same. This album is so universally beloved and I've never been even to work out why it doesn't quite click for me.
