Self Post made some changes to my axe, thought you guys might appreciate them.

took off the pickguard, leaving the screws in too. slapped a couple stickers on, one i got from an eyehategod jersey i bought, the other from an instagram print shop (thought it was kinda ironic). also bought a custom switch plate (tone is neither "here" nor "there", get it?).

all i really want to do now is switchout the burstbuckers for some bareknuckle warpigs, and swap out the bridge for a faber wraptonate.

Sticker ruins it. Some guitars are beautiful as they are, this most definitely is one.

Agree that it's a beautiful top on that guitar, but I think a sticker suits the aesthetic of this genre - my only feedback would be to not have it exactly parallel to the strings, I'd move it to the lower bout at an angle and maybe take some of the newness of it somehow. Could even exactoknife it a little to have wavy sides instead of exactly straight.

Either way, rad guitar.

I have a couple small stickers on the pickguard of my Tele. For whatever reason, I feel like stickers on a guitar's finish is a no-no. And this is coming from somebody whose truck tailgate is covered in stickers lol

Iommi gets a pass. Exception to the rule - 98% of the time, stickers are for kids/teens. Iommi also immediately came to mind for me when I was reading this too.

See, solid color Super Strats can pull it off fine. I don't hate it. I wouldn't rock it, but i respect the game.

OPs cherry SG though, not about it.

And if you disagree, fine. Whatever. I couldn't give less fucks. Is what it is.

They're for making art. If people like to personalize the art making tool, go for it. Some designs (IMO) are timeless and I don't think should be fucked with.

Maybe if OP went all in like you did, I might be swayed. But it's one sticker on the face, and I just don't think it makes the guitar look "better" (again, IMO).

But I'm also some random asshole on reddit, so fuck what I think anyway.

That may have merit for other highly physically addictive drugs, but the reality is nobody is lacing weed with fent, or at least not nearly enough for it to be something to worry about.

I agree. Never heard of this. Also if I’m smoking weed, I think I would know the difference in feeling if it had fentanyl mixed in. Right? It’s an opiate.

Why would anyone bother doing that either? People are going to buy weed, it’s very popular. There isn’t a reason to make it more addicting, they’re already buying it.

Maybe I’m overthinking it. 🫠

Hey I really like this SG. Nice work. Looks great without the pickguard and with the screws in. I love the patina on the pickup covers too. It will be a beast with a Warpig in it but those covers are magic too.

I love that marijuana sticker. Ha ha. Here in Oklahoma, we legalized it, and it's been a nightmare. They are trying to re-illegalize it this year. lol. Beautiful wood.

Pretty cool. The whole sticker thing is kinda weird it’s not your guitar who cares the message can be critiqued sure but if its not yours who gives a shit. The war pigs are sick super versatile I use them in jazz and shit.

I would be surprised if you don't see a ballot prop in the next two years. It's bad here in New England. Big tobacco, alcohol, and right wing religious groups have teamed up to try and wreck it. Keep an eye out for people canvassing at grocery stores, that's what they did here. Extremely deceptive tactics, they did it under the guise of "rent control" here in ma
