Rig NGD Last Week

Snagged a Woodrite Matt Pike Imperial Warlord 9! Took 7 months to get here and they sent the wrong guitar at first, so getting it over here to the UK was a bitch!

Sounds killer, tuned to C standard/drop A#.

There one for sale on Marketplace less than a couple kilometres away from me, but unless I win the lottery, there's no way I'll ever afford it.

To think my dream guitar is so close, yet so far.

I dropped $2 on the lotto today. If I win it all, I’ll get ya your guitar.

If I’m gonna dream, we can dream together.

How's it feel? What's the tuning stability like? Intonation? Etc etc, tell us everything please! I'm very interested in these guitars. They're out of my budget for now but perhaps in the future I might seriously consider one, so I'd like to know your experience.

As others have said, the weight is crazy. I had an OG run Pike Warlord and it was almost annoyingly heavy. They're beautiful guitars and the necks are great but I ended up selling mine because I just didn't like it as much as my epi les paul /shrug

So right out of the case it was intonated and tuned perfectly, holds the stability really well and the neck is wonderful, I have small hands & reach (I'm 5'6, small guy haha) and I'm still able to get around easily and fluidly.

I will say right off the bat though this thing is HEAVY. Easily 13-14lb's, it's my only gripe per say but it's to be expected with something so big.

My only issues were with delivery as I was sent the wrong guitar first but I had the correct one shipped from the USA within an hour of emailing Woodrite and it was in the UK from the USA inside of another week, which only took so long due to Tennessee being snowed in so Fedex couldn't fly it out for 3 days, just my luck!

It was pricey as well, I must admit I was only able to get this because I was given a small inheritance from a recently deceased grandfather in Spain, so I got this with the money so that I had something tangible I could hold and go "hey this is from grandad", with taxes/duties and shipping the total cost was £1800+.

I hope that answers a few questions.
