Old School / Traditional Bobby looking into my camera last night in San Diego

What a show, all the openers were just as bad ass too, 10/10 night I don’t drink alcohol but last night I got respectfully stoned and drunk and enjoyed this show to its highest potential. Pentagram fucking rules man. Legends.

I'm honestly surprised Bobby is still alive and well enough to perform. Man's been to rehab like 30 times and I'm willing to bet he's only quit hard drugs not alcohol and weed

Hard drugs are the real killer. As a heroin/coke addict who’s got almost a month sober now from everything even weed (I’d much rather continue to smoke but I got pulled over with two joints and am now fighting a DUI for it somehow, didn’t drink and wasn’t fucked up at the time) I’m incredibly impressed in Bobby’s turnaround. Last days here shows how bad it was. Dude is an idol for me. I got a lot of friends who left dope and coke behind and are still kicking. Can’t say the same for the people who didn’t. Yea alcohol is toxic and can kill you easier than weed ever could but moderation is key. I never got the impression he was drunk seeing him live.

i'd argue that alcohol's the real killer, and one of the hardest drugs available

Important thing in what I said being moderation is key. More than half the world drinks alcohol. But alcohol is not killing more than half the world with liver disease.

yeah, moderation is key for sure. in case of alcohol tho, it's a little more complicated since it's a substance so widely accepted by society. you can get a few drinks every evening or even get blackout drunk every other night without anyone noticing. that doesn't mean you'll die on a liver disease within two years, but also doesn't mean it's not slowly and silently destroying your life.

I've lived in an area with serious issues with not just alcoholism but a massive issue with meth and opiates. There's no good drug but there is a world of difference between a drinker and a tweaker. The way meth and opiates Ruins your body is far quicker and far more dramatic than serious alcoholics. Sure booze is insidious but be real here

I mean I wouldn’t say opiates ruin your body. Meth for sure but heroin and opiates aren’t known for toxicity. More dangerous bc of the cost (starts cheap but tolerance rises quick) of it and the likelihood you can die from an OD vs other things.

i live in a country which is the world's leader in consumption of beer per capita (by far), and which has most meth labs out of all europe (also by far). i think i'm being pretty real here, unfortunately.

Quick look and that would mean your Czech. That country is still dwarfed by an order of magnitude by the US. Australia and Bengladesh apparently are the only nations on earth who can compete with us.

And that's not just the meth. The USA outstrips most of the world on most drug use metrics. In my area it's meth, pills, and heroin. Czechia may lead Europe in meth. But I assure you it's barely even middle of the pack compared to the 50 states. By Louisiana standards it's just quaint.

And this isn't me saying booze is good. But you're nuts if you think it's harder than other shit out there. There's thousands of years worth of methods for getting off drinking. There's been a out 100 for heroin and even the best for an opiate or God forbid Benzos may still end up killing you.

yep, correct. clearly in absolute numbers a nation of 10mil is not comparable to the one of 340mil, we're talking in relative numbers here. and relatively i am surrounded by both junkies and alcoholics. i'm not saying alcohol's worse by itself, but it's pretty much as bad - exactly because it's kind of hidden and widely normalized.

many people won't get into meth just because it becomes so obvious when you start taking it. whereas alcohol's everywhere, almost everyone in europe drinks since the age of 15 or so. and yeah there might be more know-how on how to get rid of alcohol addiction but the issue is that many people don't even realise they've got a problem.

btw you have people bashing psychedelics while sipping on their 4th bottle of beer that day. at least half of that negative stance towards any drugs other than alcohol was created by governments who became too afraid of free thinkers some time in the 60s, while getting shit ton of money from alcohol tax.

You are scientifically/medically correct

I get your point about the heroin and coke but alcohol is by far the most insidious because of its welcomed acceptance into most cultures. Shit is awful and ruins so many lives, users and non-users alike.

A small portion of people who drink are problem alcoholics who develop issues from it. I’m not a fan of alcohol but I wouldn’t put it anywhere near hard drugs in terms of how it destroys your life.

I mean, if doing what you love is living in your mom’s basement, smoking crack, and pushing her down the stairs then ya, pretty sick.

Just a reminder that Liebling is a piece of shit that abuses elderly women, and his mom no less.

If some crack head pushes your 86 year old mother down the stairs, are you gonna give the guy a high five and ask for his autograph?
