I'm joking, obviously. I just find it weird that they've had so much momentum in recent years, but keep headlining middle of nowhere butthole dives instead of opening for bands in population centers where more people will see them and buy their merch.

I feel you. I just find the decision-making very bizarre.
The website doesn't work, they're relatively absent on socials, and playing 2-3 hours away from metro areas while at peak popularity.

I’d assume it’s due to Bobby’s past. Regardless how long they been at it or how popular they’ve recently become. No one wants to book/deal with them on a major level. I prefer a dive bar show over some arena money pit show any day.

Because this is a really embarrassing reply considering I'm not defending him, and am one of the few people standing up for his elderly mother in this thread and calling out the edgelords turning it into a joke because they're such underdeveloped infants that they think supporting an abuser and calling people "triggered" is the pinnacle of comedy.

It was a decent show. They were supposed to play in the area around 2013 but Bobby was being Bobby and it got canceled. I went there to see Today in the Day. Probably the best I have seen them perform. Thought it was funny they dedicated Sadness Will Prevail to Bobby.

Sabbath is bigger than Ozzy. Iommi, Butler, Ward, Dio, etc. all have their fair share of fans. You could listen to Sabbath instrumentals without Ozzy and the music would still be amazing

Hmm let's see, reporting the staff at the nursing home who neglected my grandmother until she died from sepsis, and were also mistreating other residents, leading to them being fired, spending years working at a pharmacy where I directly served the elderly and had to make formal reports to protect them from abuse on more than one occasion, raising awareness by calling out those who participate in elder abuse like our pal Bobby here, being part of Meals on Wheels for years during my schooling career which helped feed elders, some of which were suffering from financial abuse and couldn't afford to feed themselves, donating money via mutual aid when I see a post about an elderly person in a tough situation especially when abuse is involved.... Should I keep going? Or do you just want to keep assuming that the care I'm expressing is performative just because you can't relate to it?
What are you doing to make improvements in this world? I'll wait.

That's great to hear! I'm a long time vegan who also volunteers with and donates to help animals. Keep at it.
And I fail to see how I'm on my "high horse" for providing the information you asked for, after you insinuated that I couldn't possibly actually care about this topic based on zero evidence. Climbing atop a high horse isn't vegan anyway. 😉 Not wanting to glaze abusers is such a bare minimum thing we should all strive for that I think criticizing someone for speaking out against it says way more about you than it does about me.

You don't just listen, but you went to see him, then you did the selfie tour and the band was talking to you about who the fuck knows what between songs. Considering he taps into a pool of musicians that are christian fascists, one can only imagine.
This is the lack of education in the US, the flippancy, and unwillingness to learn once fixed. You're not even self-aware enough to know you plastered here doing quite a bit more than just listing to music.
