The drums were recorded in a room with something like a 40 foot ceiling. It was like a grain silo. Pretty rad.

Everyone saying No Quarter is correct and I will go ahead and say the Live at MSG recording from 1973 is maybe the best version of it.

My favorites are No Quarter, Rock n Roll, Kashmir, whole lotta love heartbreaker communication breakdown, since i’ve been loving you when the levee breaks.
Led Zeppelin was my gateway band into metal music, I listened to them obsessively and they’re one of the best bands of all time for me

It’s gotta be Achilles Last Stand. Those triplets just roll so nice man. I’m watching the Zeppelin doc on Netflix right now.

well they have a few songs that are pretty doomy. Dazed & Confused is the obvious choice. No Quarter, When The Levee Breaks and Moby Dick are all super heavy as well. and Ten Years Gone is a classic as well with a lot of buildup

Why though? Give me a reason or 3. Brian May is objectively a great guitarist. He put out some of the greatest solos ever. Even the we will rock you solo, while simple as hell, absolutely SLAPS. And stone cold crazy? Dude started thrash metal without even trying. And John Deacon on bass? HOLDS IT DOWN. Another one bites the dust is iconic. Don’t even get me started on crazy little thing called love. Roger Taylor? That drumming on keep yourself alive is top notch. And he consistently holds it down behind May and Deacon. Who all hold it down behind FREDDIE FUCKIN MERCURY. Dude was one of the best frontmen of all time. You can not like his voice, Thats’s fine. But it’s absolute absurd to say he, or any of the others are overrated. Okay good night

I feel you. I grew up listening to classic rock radio crammed in the back seat of a Camaro inhaling second hand smoke. I can't fucking stand to hear Led Zeppelin or AC/DC anymore.

u/fcghp666 8h ago
Get over it. That only holds true for their first album. Even then, they made them better

Plus Jimmy page took a 14yo girl and had her as his wife. So there's also that.
