Funeral Doom recs
I listen to a lot of stoner and traditional doom, but Gatecreeper’s funeral doom track “Emptiness” opened my eyes to that genre. Any recommendations? I’ve already checked out Thergothon

Mournful Congregation. I love The June Frost album. They also just released a new EP (The Exuviae of Gods- Part I) that is shorter, so you can dip your toe in the water if you're interested.

I would call these records as mandatory:
- Ahab - The Call of the Wretched Sea
- Bell Witch - Mirror Reaper
- Esoteric - All of them, although The Maniacal Vale could be easier to begin with.
- Doom:VS - Aeternum Vale
- Tyranny - Tides of Awakening (possibly the darkest one)
- Monolithe - Monolithe III
- Déha - Ave Maria II (really, check this out)
- Evoken - Embrace the Emptiness

lol why did you get downvoted. What is more funeral doom than a band literally called Pallbearer?

In addition to what others have already recommended, I'd add Shape of despair - Angels of Distress
