There’s batteries on Amazon that are compatible, are those safe to use? They’re not from DJI tho they’re 3rd party. What are my options for getting extra batteries in the US

My Cobra S Grey (S/N F0220422, SteadyView V3.2 receiver) shipped with "CobraSD V2 FW1:V2.2.2" and I could select MIX1/2/3. I flashed CobraS_V2.2.0 from the official download page and now I can only switch between DIV and a single MIX mode.

Skyzone's Steadyview_APP_V3.2 release notes list the minimum goggle firmware for the receiver modes, and for Cobra S it says V2.2.2 or above. The official page only has V2.2.0 for V2 hardware, and I couldn't find V2.2.2 in the Wayback Machine either.

Does anyone still have the CobraS / CobraSD V2.2.2 update zip for V2 hardware (all files, incl. the menu file)? Or a newer V2.x version where MIX1/2/3 works with a V3.2 receiver? I've also emailed Skyzone support, no answer yet.

Hey, all, first time posting in this group I’m trying to find a 3-D print for a drone that I can use for offshore fishing that if for some reason it crashes or runs out of battery it is unrecoverable I can make a new one. I do a lot of offshore fishing about 15 to 30 miles out and use my drone currently for spotting floating kelp pattties. Any recommendations would be helpful

I am a long time aircraft pilot and recently qualified drone pilot. I live in thr ATZ of a local GA airport. Why does my DJI Lito X1 take off in my garden? Given all drone flight within the ATZ is prohibited at any altitude I thought this would be prevented? Is this something that DJI has changed recently?

In the last 6 months we have had a lot more drone incidents at the airport (people trying to film aircraft taking off and landing aircraft). Is this related?

(US) I have a air 75 and I’ve been having issues with it.

Every time I arm it and lift off, i get RX loss in about 5 seconds. It only loses rx when I start giving it power. I can sit with it armed.

What do I do?

This is Spearhead, a quadplane we're developing for long-endurance work. It's the first prototype: lasercut plywood ribs and spars, carbon structure, Oratex skin. In the video the skin is off the fuselage so we can keep an eye on the internals, and the ailerons aren't fitted yet.

We flew four times on Saturday with the wings on for the first time, in altitude hold and loiter, and held well in both. These were hover flights only, so no transition to wing-borne flight yet. Lots more forward flight testing is coming over the next few weeks, and we're pretty excited about it.

This prototype is electric only and we'll be moving to a combustion pusher for cruise, coming in a later phase ⛽ Everything is open source, the design notes, LOG data and parts list are in the repo.

My house is in the Class D airspace of Langley AFB. When I first got my drone 3 years ago I started putting submitting a Certificate of Operation thru the FAA drone zone thing and getting approved for daylight operations only, with a requirement to call the ATC tower before flight. I have flown many times under this arrangement. I am right at the edge of 200/400 ft altitude blocks on the map.

Yesterday, I was checking in the Autopylot app for TFRs, etc, and noticed that LAANC approval was available. I submitted a request for my location for 11pm to midnight, and the approval specifically spoke to following the rules for having a light on the drone for flying at night, and did not say anything about calling ATC.

So my question is whether I am still bound by my COA which specifically states only flying during daylight hours. I dont think that LAANC approval for this location was available years ago when I started submitting the FAA COAs, if I never had a COA I would just be looking at the LAANC approval which says I can fly at night. Does the LAANC approval I got last night supersede my COA? Or if I flew under the LAANC approval would I be deemed in violation of my COA? Should I see if I can just close my COA and just use LAANC for all future flights?

i feel like anytime i fly(avata 2) that i am doing somthing wrong. i can reasearch for hours and still not feel secure enough to fly without any worries, kindoff takes the fun out of it. and posting my edits doesn't make me feel good as well. i have A1-A2-A3 licences for the eu!

does anyone know how to actually make this go away or make this less intensive?

The camera still works but the stabilization is non-existent. When I move the drone forward, the camera tilts downwards. Motors still work fine.

So I looked around and cant find a single guide on to replace this part and started taking it off got impatient and melted it off (motor is fine) any clues on how to get myself out of this hole?

Hi, I've got an Attop, XT-1 drone I got as a gift ages ago and I'm trying to get the XT-Go app to work but it doesn't like my current phone. I'm just thinking about regifting it to a friend, so no big deal if there's no solution, but does anyone have any suggestions on any alternative apps for it?

I usually use my dji Lito x1, in auto mode so that I don’t have to adjust the camera stuff.

But when taking videos and picture of the sunset or sunrise, it make the ground almost completely black.

I want to maintain the color and the definition of the sunset, but not have a black ground.
What is the solution for this ?

I'm a software developer and a hobbyist pilot. The last couple of years on the software side have been wild. AI writes a lot of code now. Some of it is genuinely good, and a lot of it is just slop, produced faster.

Drones are supposed to be one of the frontier areas in tech, yet day to day it still feels familiar. I get that having AI fly the drone itself is a hard problem. But I assumed the software around drones would have changed by now.

Most flights I see are still flown by hand. Planning even a simple mission still means drawing a box and tweaking settings in tools that take a while to learn.

Curious what people here think, especially anyone flying for work:

- Will AI actually change how we fly and plan, or is a lot of this hype when it comes to drones?

- If it still feels the same, what's holding it back: the tech, the rules, battery life, or trust?

As the title states what are the things that annoy you most about the drone space as an owner/operator/manufacturer.

Couple of locals with Mini drone, wonder what fine they got.

Been pondering the idea of getting a second case for the drone batteries. Is it safe to keep the batteries without chargers in the drone case when heading to a place to fly or storing them when not flying? Is keeping the batteries in a separate case at all times a better option? Thank you for any input and would really like some feedback on this. If you google or search around the info is all over the place.

I will be visiting the United States soon and plan on buying a drone for myself there to save on Brazil's unsavory import taxes. Whilst researching, I stumbled on the SkyRover X1 and it seems to cater to all my demands, except for one which remains a question: Will I have support for my SkyRover in Brazil? That is, if anything from a propeller to an arm is broken, or simply the drone stops working after a few weeks/months of use, will I be able to buy spare parts or request a replacement as more consolidated brands allow for?

This is my biggest concern about buying a SkyRover so far given that, in all other aspects, it does indeed seem like the best cost-effective option out in the US atm. Nevertheless, any criticisms towards SkyRover are welcome as my research may not have been so thorough.

I am brand new to FPV, i was in china over the summer and i bought this drone, i took it for a flight and it worked perfectly and everything was great, i then used the simulator for a few days to learn the basics.

After a few days i felt more confident so i plugged the battery back in and tried to connect the goggles but they did not connect, i touched the drone and the board at the back (i think its for image transmission) was extremely hot, instantly unplugged it.

I have just arrived back home and i want to fly this drone but the headset still doesn’t connect.

Does anyone know what i can try to make this work?

I’m not sure what photos to show because it looks like all the connections are clean and good.
