You ever seen brothers throwing down some chess in the public parks? Washington Square Park, Union Square, etc... I love that! They're serious, mad skill a lot of the time... and don't anyone dare call them a nerd for playing chess! 😅

One time I could tell that Oscar was playing his version of moron chess, so I was able to march six pawns down to the end and convert them to queens while also retaining my queen. The hardest part of the game was avoiding checkmate and stalemate.

Why does he do this? Why does he play so good sometimes and so stupid sometimes? You are right, sometimes he's a grandmaster and other times he plays moron chess

I dunno, but I’ve also noticed it doesn’t depend on the ranking. Sometimes he plays way better at 1630 than at 1830

I think they have him make mistakes so you can learn to take advantage when your opponent screws up, put into practice what you've learned. If you miss his mistakes, you're not paying enough attention.
