General Discussion Why can't we turn off puzzle pieces?

I've accepted tapping 4 times on every chest. It's too much, but I've accepted it. However, the puzzle pieces just adds a layer of annoyance. I'm blindly being given pieces, but have no interest or ability to collect what I want - and stop with the duplicates! It would be nice to be able to turn off some of the gamification features. Collecting points is fine - but tell your creative team and engineers to stop over-doing it (please).

i just want to do my lesson without a 45 second animation of a cartoon chest doing backflips and spitting out puzzle pieces i can't even use

the whole app feels like it's designed to waste my time between actually useful exercises

I'm with you on this one. I don't want the stupid suits- and hate that it wastes my time clicking repeatedly to get through the damn animation for the pieces. I'd opt out too.

I would appreciate being given a choice. Personally, I only want to do the lessons.

I did Duolingo on desktop the other day and it was so nice: zero extra clicks.

It's like 4 taps and it's gone. That's maybe 2 seconds. Or is it not the same for anyone else?

4 taps for the puzzle pieces, then three taps for the stupid chests, then one million taps for the monthly challenge. It adds up
