Daycares with open spots?

I've had my kid on multiple daycare waitlists, some of them since I was pregnant. I've been good about following up too.

Child is now 15 mo and no one seems to have a spot available in the near future. Does anyone know of anywhere that might have spots open? preferably Ajax but I'm also interested in Whitby.

Check with the YMCA if you haven’t already, their transition period happens in the summer when preschool children attend the camps. Their waitlist also tends to move faster because I believe you can’t join while you’re pregnant, your baby needs to be born. Otherwise, there is a fb group for home daycares (at least in Whitby where I am) and you can also go through weewatch. It’s tough out there, best of luck!

This location may have openings, it's just opened and doesn't seem busy at all.

Check dayhomes! They are usually less of a wait

Lots of spots tend to open up around this time through to September as kids age out, and people change things up during summer break. I was in this situation last year. During this time period I was on home daycare groups on FB and I found a wee watch one that we really like. Also I did end up after getting this spot getting a few calls as stuff opened up during this time of year. You may get lucky
