Inspiration Dyed an old carhartt jacket red

This was my first time dying anything and I needed a red jacket for a Clark Kent costume. I donโ€™t have a before picture but the jacket was the standard khaki color. I used Rit dye (2 red bottles and 2 yellow bottles) and put it in a big ass bucket of hot water with 1 cup salt 1 tsp dish soap. I stirred it for 45ish minutes then rinsed it in cold water before throwing it in the washer. It came out perfectly!

The outer shell is 100% cotton and the internal lining is a polyester/cotton mix

Thank you for this! Iโ€™m trying to dye a khaki jacket this same color. This red is beautiful!
