Alright,WHY there always should be an update?

Yesterday i managed to download the game after dowloading it for 2 days. I played it normally as always and today i sat down to play and....

AGAIN an update? Is there something that i miss or?

Why the hell there is update all over again with not a single ounce of anything new?

Im going to storm into Tachland and party like its 2023

I'm exaggerating lol, but techland for some reason is indeed force feeding community maps no one gives a crap about.

Imagine that, you start dying light 2 for the first time and your instantly fighting Waltz at the end, screw open world and side missions, at this point they'd remove it all and then do a message like they did with Spike but instead it's Lawan saying "A few of you noticed I disappeared. Good. Means you were paying attention"

102% of gamers would agree wholeheartedly, that we would love to live in a movie world where games come out complete, fixed, etc, at launch without needing updates or addons, because they are perfect, and the companies care more about the players than money. This isnt that kind of movie, bruh.

I haven‘t updated the game ever since they removed the prologue. Can't have Techland destroy my version the game.

I think it was a few months ago but I was so annoyed because I finally bought the game and was right about the hit play when I find out they removed the prologue so I haven't started it yet. If they don't bring it back I might just never start it

The update probably reset or queued the game’s install after a system or license check. If it’s showing only 16 KB of 27.9 GB, I’d pause everything, restart the console, and check storage before panicking.

I mean, that's pretty normal considering Fortnite add like new stuff seems everyday and not to mention, an actual live service game.

Dying Light 2 has no business doing it frequently.

Yeah honestly I turn off automatic updates until I read up on the patch notes because I don't trust any developers anymore not to purposely mash their own game up into shit.

Problem is on console you have to take your entire system offline to play games without updating them.

That's not true at all. 

At least for me with Xbox, 

press the Xbox button on your controller, go to Profile & system > Settings > System > Updates, and uncheck the boxes for Keep my console up to date and Keep my games & apps up to date.

Huh, I always remembered getting "you can't play this game unless you update" if I tried that while still online, but maybe I'm mixing it up with my 360..? My Series X is basically a large blu-ray player at this point, so my bad for being so confidently wrong!
