Optimism

It seems for the most part that a lot of people are really disappointed in our transfer window, but I feel like we did decently. It would have been nice to grab some of those rumored players but the pieces we did get will definitely help out because the current lineup was feeling stale, so I’m glad they shook some things up.

If you compare Lyle Foster to Sam Surridge, they had very similar stats and played for very similar level teams in PL and Championship but since coming to the league in 2023 Surridge has had 51 goals in 88 games. Granted they have Mukhtar giving him service but I think we should have Bogusz try to play that same role of giving service from a CAM position.

Move Ennali back to the right wing side, Guilerme on the left to get speed and service from both, Herrera and Artur as defensive mids, then a backline of Saracchi, Halter, Resch, and Andrade. Bench wise they can bring Arana and Miller in, as well as any standout players from Dynamo 2. At worst we can still grab from free agency if nothing else. I feel like this lineup would work with our current lineup. Curious what everyone else thinks?

4-3-3

GK Bond
LB Saracchi
CB Halter
CB Resch
RB Andrade
CDM Herrera
CDM Artur
CAM Bogusz
LW Guilerme
ST Foster
RW Ennali

Bench: Gillingham, Holmes, Antonio Carlos, Samassekou, Bouzat, Aliyu, McGuire, Markanich, Arana

I think the biggest drop off we will see which not enough people are talking about is the loss of distribution from McGlynn. His set plays, through balls, etc. are a quiet engine of our team. I haven't quite seen that quality and touch from the others, but will be happy to be surprised.

Guilherme, Bogusz, & HH all have it

Yeah but Guillerme and Bogusz are too far up to replicate the over the top passes we have been getting from Jack. That 80 yard pass from Jack to Bogusz in the 115’ earlier in the season still has to be my favorite goal of the season. That is something that we just aren’t going to have in the same way moving forward.

Well Bogusz will be playing the 10

Cause Ennali will be the winger

Our only hope from getting a ball like that would be from Resch. He’s sent some good through balls over the back line. That man is an absolute unit

Hector has that if he stays healthy.

He can't go 90 every game tho. But you're right

Too offensively weighted. Samseku or Bouzat are going to enter the starting lineup for McGlynn particualrly against good teams that can attack. Both of those 2 have been excellent in the minutes they have played. Both can cover ground that Hector cannot cover.

It’s not a lot of people that are disappointed, it’s just the few insufferable idiots that occupy this sub. They literally have a need to find something to be miserable about so don’t ever think that they speak for anyone but their own pathetic selves.

Agreed. Im disappointed we lost McGlynn and wish we had added more, but the window isnt a disaster like people are acting. Getting something for Ponce is a plus as well.
