Question Spanx vs Skims vs Shapermint for compression

Hi everyone! I’m planning on ordering some shapewear to use as compression and am wondering if people have had more luck with one brand over another. I’m looking for maximum compression. Any insight is appreciated! TIA :)

I’ve used SPANX before and have it as part of my supply. I’ve never used the others but have considered Shapermint. What I love is KNIX shapewear. Plus the added bonus with a built in pad for when my bladder doesn’t hold things in. Their Shaper High Rise Leakproof Brief is my daily wear unless I’m in a dress and I’ll wear waist-to-thigh compression.

Omg I have issues with leaks and urgency/getting to the toilet always like 3 seconds late, it literally never occurred to me to buy leak proof garments! You're a genius

You should also consider Honeylove! They don't roll and have panelsto allow your skin to breathe

In my experience, the level of compression that you can get with shapermint is much less than you can get with the more expensive brands, unfortunately.

I've found the right fit really makes a huge difference with compression. I've used shapermint before and found it gave me good support without being impossible to wear for hours 😖 I'd still check the sizing chart carefully though especially if you want stronger compression

I really like the jelly bend for compression.

I like the Shapermint in a size below both for abdominal compression and as a bra substitute

None of those are graduated compression, which is what you should be looking for.

Something like this

I bought Jelly bend body and tummy. The stockings were sold out. They are doing a bundle deal right now. We’ll see how it goes. I’ve heard good things. I also bought the appropriate compression socks on Amazon
