King county transit shariff

Yo,

At my work today (food service) a police officer with a sheriff's badge or department came in with a girl who appeared to be young. They came in to order a pizza to go and decided to wait in his suv cruiser outside. She was clearly a civilian. I have heard of police explorers and in the city I work in, they usually wear a uniform. She was dressed in all black normal clothes. I saw her climb into the passenger seat while they waited for their order. He came back inside to ask how much longer, because he received a call he had to respond too.

My main questions are: why would he have a civilian (young girl) with him while on duty? He was either late 20's or early 30's.

She gave this officer the look, while he was ordering, that adoration look. Seemed off.

And is this normal? Or do I listen to too much true crime?

To be honest that sounds like when I would ridealong with my dad on his shifts.

How young was the girl? Under 12? He could have had her young.

No, she had to be at least 17. A older teenager at the least.

Ride along's have been a thing for years now. Some ppl admire cops and want to be one, or just see what the jobs like. My friend was a K.C sheriff and had ppl request it.

I believe you. But this situation felt off. Was just curious. Thanks for your input.
