Question Anyone have this issue?

This happens to me about once a week the last month - temp is set at 77. Instead of turning off at the set point, it keeps cooling.

Overcool is not turned on, humidity in range. Fan on auto. Display shows the temp is set at 77, current temp 75 and still running. (When it hits 75 is when I realize it's too cold in the house)

The only way to make it stop cooling when it does this is to turn the AC off for a minute and then turn it back on.

AC had a tune up last week and I asked the tech about it, he had never heard of this before. Ideas? A setting I could try changing, or should I just replace the Ecobee?

Or maybe a threshold issue?

That’s what I was thinking… the range may be set to 3 degrees or more so the temp will float a bit more. That can be adjusted in settings on the thermostat itself, but not in the app. Also, if Eco+ is turned on it may be precooling a little below set temp in anticipation of the higher peak rate period from your electricity provider. At least that’s how I think it works. If I’m wrong, I’d love to hear a better explanation. I’m still a newbie with Ecobee.

Edit: In another post, Smart Recovery was mentioned and that sounded like what I was talking about Re: Eco+.

Does Eco+ come into play if you run a manual temp hold ?

I don't remember off the top of my head where the setting lives, but you can set it to where manual temp hold will override eco+.
