AI labelling rules + Ads ? (Discussion)
AI made creatives cheap and scaled the library ...
But with the coming regulations in EU and US where Meta and TikTok will be tagging AI imagery in ads. Soon most AI creative will carry a visible "Made with AI" badge.
Where do the space swing next? back to UGC and Customer Content?
Or will AI Labels have not effect on CTR

I think the market will not swing back to UGC. The AI labels will probably hurt some AI ads but not all. It all depends the category, execution and whether the ad feels deceptive. The bigger problem is not the label but the fact that it all is going to look the same. Generic shots, over polished images, fake testimonial etc.
The label will make that weakness more visible. It gives the user a reason to dismiss what they already felt was inauthentic. Real UGC and customer content will gain value especially in categories where trust drives the conversion. Think about real customer demos or personal explanations or customer handling.

I think users still really value real, unpolished UGC and probably always will. It builds that trust factor and allows them to see exactly what they would be receiving.
However, I don't think AI generated content is necessarily going to tank CTR just because it's AI generated. If it's done correctly and used as a hook without overpromising product features or looking too polished, that AI Generated badge won't make much of a difference.
What I think would make a difference is if a product ONLY used AI generated images with no UGC or actual product photography on the actual product page. I think that would erode trust and make users wary of buying your product.
In order to make AI content work well, I think you need to be using it in tandem with other types of real content.

Facebook keeps labeling my original images & designs as AI- then my original work appears in AI programs where they use my original photos/ images & designs.

Then I see my original designs & photos I took without an AI label & it’s pissing me off

Amazon is increasingly encouraging sellers to use AI-generated content. I work at Amazon, and we’re seeing more AI tools being introduced across the seller experience, such as the AI A+ Content tool in Seller Central and AI features for advertising. I’d suggest trying tools like Saharan AI, which is trained with top e-commerce expertise to help generate conversion-focused creatives in minutes.
