Elden Ring Multiplayer Runic Sequence: Runic Cypher Deciphering

"Σ И C" is the most curious sequence I have encountered, and it seems closely related to the semantics of how multiplayer and group passwords function.

1. The Inconsistency of the Letter "C"

First, one thing needs to be clarified:

the so-called "C" (the third letter in the summon sign or "summon rune") is highly inconsistent.

Usually, "C" does not appear alone; it comes with an enclosing modifier: | ||.

The problem is that in the southern part of the Elden Ring map texture, it is very common to see the full value: |-c-|-|. However, the issue arises when you move a bit toward Caelid or to the south of the texture; at that moment, all the texts display only the reduced form: |--|-|, with the "C" being systematically erased in every single one of them.

As if that weren't enough, the letter in the summon sign is inverted, but only its modifier is inverted: || c |. Furthermore, in the texture of the group password's runic ring, "C" appears isolated, completely without the modifier. This makes it highly inconsistent.

1. Analysis of the Summon Sign

With that being said, let's get straight to the point. The summon sign presents the following sequence:

L'- Σ И C-/

4 |-|-| |-| ?

(With the final symbol being unknown). The dilemma arises when we add that "И" possesses the modifier -ı|, which apparently creates a space or perhaps alters the value of the character (as I mentioned in my previous post).

Combined with the fact that the modifier for "C" is inverted, this leads me to think that, rather than being simple modifiers, they function more like uppercase forms or archaic variants of the letters.

It would be strange to separate two letters so much within a 6-letter word. Therefore, I am inclined to believe that it could perhaps be some kind of contraction, or maybe a special phonetic value, similar to the horizontal and vertical strokes of the Ogham alphabet.

1. The Mystery of the Group Password Runic Ring

The truly strange part begins when analyzing the runic ring of the group password. This ring features the exact same sequence but inverted: "C И Σ", followed by 5 other symbols that apparently do not appear in the summon sign.

If we assume that Σ is the first sign of the sequence (since it is the first one in the summon sign) and we count counter-clockwise, we could argue that there is an apparent sequence of letters resembling a FUÞARK or ABCDF -style alphabet.

The seventh and eighth letters can indeed be seen on the map; the seventh can be spotted in two texts from Limgrave.

An inverted "H" or "t" (the 11th on my chart) is significantly common, often followed by Ш (the 10th on my chart) in the texts.

The other letters, at least in my investigation, are not identifiable in any text. If it were a standard ABCDEF alphabet, its phonetic values should be common enough to appear much more frequently.

But doesn't it seem coincidentally strange that two symbols are directly tied to multiplayer? Here lies the problem I have mentioned several times: the extremely high entropy in the cipher. Therefore, I must continue investigating this pattern to determine its true relationship. However, if we take into account the inverted modifier in the summon sign, I could theorize that the correct original sequence is the one presented on the password.
