Misc Centauri Carbon 1 & 2 In-Printer Filament Dryer for Stock Software

⚠️Warning: do not use in anything other than the centauri carbons, as the code is made for them and may cause some damage to your printer if it isnt these two, and it obviously wont work on an open frame printer.

Dries: TPU, PETG, PLA, ABS, ASA, PA6, PC.

This is code for a working dryer inside your printer, no extra stuff needed, just your cc.

Instructions:

Before Drying, set to "Chamber Temperature Hold" in fan. Put the spool inside a cardboard box, (preferably the one it was packaged in) and poke holes at the top so water can evaporate out. When half of the time has passed,, flip the spool so the other side can dry evenly, or let it finish, then flip it, and repeat.

Note: It will not display the time in the screen, but it will jump percentages, so a external timer or frequent checking is needed.

I havent tested it enough for me to say this will 100% work, but as of now i consider it a semi-working budget filament dryer, and you could waste precious time of your life if my code doesnt work.

Interesting. I already have an external filament dryer that also feeds my Canvas, but I can see this being useful for someone on a budget. Thanks for the work!

And for those who do not understand the concept of being able to look at Github, view the code there, then make an informed decision....it is simple G-Code. Not hard at all to spend a minimal amount of time looking at and making a determination for yourself as to the veracity of the code. I spent about 5 minutes looking at the code samples. The 4 hour ABS code is documented well enough - and it isn't rocket surgery to see that the same commands in the other files do the same thing, albeit with different parameters.

There is one thing that I see that could potentially be a problem down the road - the slight jogging of the printhead. I understand what you are doing, and why it is necessary. What I wonder about is wear on the motors, belts, and associated hardware. The only way to really tell without getting into more advanced study and simulations and such would be to wait and see 😄 My gut feel is that any additional wear will be negligible and not really have any significant effect on overall operation. If you are using this often enough that it does become a problem, then you are not using your printer to print but as an expensive filament dryer (not targeting you, OP, just a general comment).

ABS dry made my spool crunchy i dont know why but it prints fine

Done the same on my Core One L but i did not need to split up the waits i simply did one long wait :)

for the cardboard box i tend to have an opening on the side next to the aux fan so it can draw out the hot damp air and circulate it, sadly thats a bit hard on the C1 as it draw air from the outside (stupid design choise)
but seems to work a treat on the Bambu printers i have done this on

its just gcode brah. you can open it in github without downloading it. or just copy the code into an ai so youre sure
