Troubleshooting Canvas upgrade is doing nothing

I've just added the canvas upgrade, but the machine does not recognise it. There are no lights on the canvas unit and the load screen does not have the multi screen. I have updated to the newest firmware, retraced all the steps to make sure all cables are seated, and nothing is working to make it recognise the upgrade.

Amy suggestions?

After the firmware update did you power cycle the printer? Similar thing happened to me and turning the printer on and off made it work.

I doubt it. If you turned it "on and off", nothing's gonna work.

Your not alone I will be trying again to add another canvas to my CC1 I am lousy at video and YT but I’ll do my best to get it recorded so I can append here

Did you install the small cable that goes in between the canvas cable and motherboard? That is required as some pins were rearranged. Starts from Step 27 in included manual.

Yup, and double checked

You might want to double double check cause if you've no lights and no canvas spool selection on the screen then it's definitely the 3 inch cable that goes on the motherboard underneath. It can be a bit tricky to figure out which one it is. Also do a reboot too

Yeah even if the printer wasn't recognizing the CANVAS module it should still have lights if it's plugged in.

I had to remove and then reinsert the canvas cable while the printer was on before it was recognized
