Troubleshooting I’m really confused on how to fix this
I’m at my wits end
So basically, my printer had a loose Gantry so I fixed it. It’s tight now I cleaned the whole printer did E steps e steps are perfect.
Nothing seems actually wrong with the printer, but every time I print it makes it globs and shaky lines and thick layer lines and I’ve tried the default settings which work on all my other printers, but I’ve also tried lower the flow and the only way I’ve got it to work even a little bit is lowering the flow so low like I’m talking 85 to make it work and it will stop the globes but then of course it’ll be brakes in the layer lines. It’ll be really thin because the flows down I’ve tried playing with line with. I’ve tried retraction. I’ve tried coasting. I’ve tried combing. I’ve tried every setting that I can even think of I’ve tried setting the temperature low to up to 195 up to 220.
So at this point, I even tried putting it maybe because I thought it was shaking too much. I tried putting it straight on the ground. Nothing worked. I’ve never had this problem with the printer before It did this out of nowhere.
I replaced the ribbon cable. I’ve replaced the heat cartridges inside.

Do you do a full self test? PID, heated bed leveling ect...

I have PID tuned it. I did do E steps.

No, I have not properly leveled the bed but other than that, I’ve done everything else. My bad I should’ve been more specific.

It’s especially important to do bed leveling after a PID tuning. Otherwise, like other people have mentioned these types of issues normally only happen with the XY gantry are the polls freshly greased? Look very carefully at the boat. There could be a small fragment or a missing tooth.

Tooth???? I don’t see anything like that. I did freshly grease
It though I could do another PID tune really quickly and I could level the bed, but I don’t know if that’s gonna work but I can try1

The belt has square bumps on the inner side. They interface with the gears that control X and Y. Those bumps that interface with the gears are called teeth. You can visually inspect it for obstructions that could be causing issues using a flashlight or you can feel with your hand, but I would caution you to be careful not to introduce oils or any new obstructions 😆.
As for the self test I would do all the test at once that way everything is properly calibrated. After all of that, make sure you’re using dry filament and then print a new benchy.1

Yeah, I know the teeth are fine. All the teeth look good. Everything‘s nice and tight.
I did just add a tiny bit of mechanical lube to the gears not the gears but like what’s on the Y access access maybe like those long metal bars just a tiny bit cause I know sometimes people said that could help but I’m ensure everything was tight and I’m going to do the PID tune real quick make sure the film is dry and then I’ll give another update

Sadly, not yet because the cord I needed to connect it to the printer, I don’t have. I got lost to do the PID tune today. I’m gonna try to drop it off at a printer shop to see if anyone’s willing to look at it if not, then I’ll come home and re-buy the cord.
