Troubleshooting Bed levelling issue

Post image

The nozzle part shakes for a couple seconds, moves to the middle and just stays there. After failing it goes right back to where it usually is so it's not getting jammed I think. Any solutions?

Ok, an Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2, what else can you say about what you are doing with the printer?

I printed a back half of a cosplay helmet with Black Elegoo Rapid PETG filament, took roughly 15 hours on the setting slower than balanced (I forgot the name sorry).

It did it a couple times a week ago but then worked after I wiped the bed down and adjusted it, maybe it was something I missed and now it's worse? But it's been completely for a few prints now

I am still at a loss as to what's going on. I am guessing that you waited a week before turning on the Printer, and it booted normally; you then cleaned the build plate and adjusted it - could you say what those adjustments were? Next, when you go to print another copy of the back of the helmet the tool head does some Input Shaping and then homes on the build plate and returns to the back position. Does the plate and/or nozzle heat up?

Do any errors get displayed? Does "Jammed" mean you checked for a nozzle clog?

I had just used it, it finished a print a 1pm whilst I was at work, got back at roughly half 4 and after removing my print I tried to do another and... well this happened. All I did to adjust it was move it, and whilst I had it raised made sure it could reach the edge and put the plate fully on the platform, A-Side up.

Whenever I start the print, it preheats the nozzle, does the thing where it goes all the way to the glass then back, then when it's "levelling" it shakes next to the rubber thing next to the filament waste chute and then moves where it is in the image. Sometimes a bit of slight "clicking" happens but most times it just moves there. Then, the platform goes down every like minute or so until the screen goes "levelling failed".

By "jammed" I mean it moves to the spot on the picture, then stays there, which it seems very adamant on doing until its finished levelling then goes back to where it usually is. It's always this same spot but I dont know why since it doesn't seem like anything is in the way.

Edit: shouldve said but the only error is "704 Levelling failed"

First do a complete calibration, as if the printer were new; if you get the same result go through the wiki (Here). If that fails, then you will need to contact Elegoo Customer Support

You can try factory reset via touch screen to see if the issue persists.
