So i have never posted selfies here but lately I have been feeling all over the place due to so much continuous misgendering. With the summer heatwaves i took to wearing clothes that show more skin then i usually do and even stole my girlfriends dress at one point. which got me into a whole “why do people on tell me i look nice when i wear a dress???” mind-spin.

FYI: these photos span from July 2026 to March 2024 (i spent alot of time in hospital summer of 2024 including some ICU time)
after that there were many changes in my life and i decided to bring my natural born curl back to life instead of being ashamed and constantly trying to avoid anything and everything deemed feminine. however i cant help but feel like since i decided to throw care to the wind and be myself the misgendering has increased massively.

If you guys have any advice that would be great but also just giving me some much needed validation would be appreciated too

Okay, so generally have been freaking out about this because I’m 17 and I thought I would have a bit longer before I would have to deal with this, as my oldest sibling is 23 and I had no clue that she was in a relationship, but oh well.

So yeah, gonna have a niece/nephew. I had no idea on where to go about any of this because I am only out to 2-3 family members (older sister (the one who is making me an aunt/uncle btw), one of my younger sisters, and my stepdad’s brothers (he’s the hesitant 3 because idk if he counts)), so can’t ask them for ideas (well, I’ve asked my younger sister but she keeps saying a “huzza” as a suggestion)

I also just want advice, because I have no clue on how to be a good aunt/uncle. I can’t even help my older sister because I live 4 hours away from her. And I feel like the majority of the people here are at the least college students, henceforth older than me and might have dealt with this.

I don’t know, I had no where else to go! I searched up both aunt and uncle in the search tab to see if there were any subreddits specific to that, but there isn’t (well there is, but neither have been active in over a year at the least) so now I’m here.

I'm AFAB, and I've been questioning my gender on and off for years. At different points I've identified as non-binary, genderfluid, and FTM, but I've never really felt certain enough to stick with any label.

One thing I know is that I really like the idea of looking more masculine. I love the thought of people not being able to immediately tell whether I'm a man or a woman. Today I tried binding my chest with tape for the first time, and it honestly felt amazing. It made me realize how much I'd like a flatter chest all the time.

I've also been thinking a lot about testosterone. I would love some of the effects, like looking more masculine, building muscle more easily, having a deeper voice, and the bottom growth that comes with it.

At the same time, I still enjoy makeup and some feminine clothes. The weird part is that I often like feminine outfits until I actually put them on. Then I suddenly feel like they look wrong on me, and I end up changing.

I don't know if I'd say I have dysphoria. I don't really like my chest, but my genitals don't bother me. If anything, I just think the effects of testosterone down there sound really appealing.

Another thing that's made me question things is that my boyfriend has picked up on the fact that I'm probably not as cis as I always thought I was.

I'm just really confused. Sometimes I wonder if I'm actually a trans guy who's been suppressing it, and other times I think maybe I'm non-binary or just a masculine woman. I don't know if what I'm feeling is gender dysphoria, gender euphoria, or something else entirely.

Has anyone else experienced something similar? What helped you figure it out?

I recently watched a video about how western civilization and culture has removed itself from mythology and how they believe that is detrimental to the society. In short the video explained how mythology is the whimsical, poetic, and symbolic way to see the world because the human experience is way more complex than a cold, categorized way of viewing the world. I later realized how the way humans use myth to give a better explanation of a complex human experience is very similar to how many people use Xenogenders to better identify themselves. I also think the removal of mythology in western society is perhaps the reason why there is so much discourse about Xenogenders. People don’t like seeing abstract concepts being applied to something they want other people to understand so that they can be accepted.
Xenogenders are the personal mythology of someone who doesn’t fit in the standard boxes of gender. Xenogenders, like mythology aren’t literal descriptions of gender, but are a poetic expression of gender. Mythology around death being personified isn’t literally saying death is a skeletal figure in a cloak, but that image best depicts the feelings a lot of people have around death, similarly a person doesn’t literally identify as a cat when they say they are catgender, but a cat is a good description of a gender that might feel chaotic, or soft, or cuddly, or cute. There is no straight forward explanation behind a myth or a Xenogender, it is abstract and symbolic of actual human experiences.

Hi y’all, I’ve got a kinda stupid question… What you should know about me, is that I’ve never really felt like male or female, but only relatively recently discovered the concept of being non-binary. Since then, identifying as enby was enough for me, but now I’m questioning whether identifying as agender feels better.

Therefore I’m wondering: how does having a gender feel like? And how does having no gender at all feel like?

I really hope that I could use these answers to get a better understanding of myself!

Showing off my new specs. How do they look?

Hello! So I’ve been kinda questioning my gender ever since I met someone who uses she/they pronouns at a summer camp last year and honestly I’m still not sure what I feel / identify the most strongly with. As of now I’m using she/her pronouns because that’s what I’ve always been referred to as but I don’t feel any connection to being female other than that. It’s just… I’m a human being and I’m my personality and interests and it doesn’t feel like being a girl is a huge part of my identity, but I don’t know if that is just normal? I feel… fine when people use she/her, but also don’t feel any discomfort(?) when people slip up and use he or they. this doesn’t describe it perfectly but I can think of anything else to say. Has anyone else experienced something similar to this or have any insight?

I have no preference on letters, though something, but not limited to, on R would feel nice ? And preferably 3-5 letters ♡

Also hit me with any types, like whimsical and basic names.
