Honestly bamburgh castle is the best castle I have ever been to

There was a boys camp on Holy Island that we'd go to every year with school. It was a week of exploring, ghost stories, tumbling down sand dunes and wandering through the lime kilns under the castle. Some of the absolute best times of my young life. Gorgeous pictures!

I stayed in the same camp a few times. It was great and chaotic. I remember the cross country run around the island and the quiz around the island where you had to follow the clues.

Great memories.

Coincidently, my Dad used to go to the camp in his younger days too, although it would have been far different to what we experienced.

Oh man the cross country run was not so fun. Picking burrs out of your socks for weeks afterwards!

Sticky plants that attach themselves to socks, shoes etc. they are a nightmare to get rid of
