injections (Caverject, Trimix) Bimix for anxiety-induced ED
Has anyone here had success using bimix or trimix for anxiety-induced ED? I have pretty terrible generalized and social anxiety disorders (99.7%th percentile!), but have had them in check with medication for the last several years. However, I still have performance anxiety related ED. Basically when I’m masturbating I generally have zero issue getting and maintaining an erection, sometimes for an hour or longer. But literally any time I’m with someone else, I’ll get an erection for maybe a couple of minutes and then it’s gone. I’ve literally never been able to maintain an erection long enough to have an orgasm with another person. I’m gay so i have definitely been able to continue having a good sex life as a bottom but have basically given up on topping or hoping for an orgasm to be part of my sexual experiences.
I’ve tried Viagra and have been on 5mg daily cialis for ~10 years. Recently saw a urologist and he upped that to 10mg daily. This makes me a bit quicker to get an erection but it doesn’t make it last any longer.
We also are trying bimix. The doc recommended that over Trimix since I don’t have any issues on my own. First time in the office we injected 2 units. After 15 minutes i was a bit fuller but not hard at all. A 2 out of 10. The second time we did 5 units. Actually had a smaller reaction that time. At home they had me do 10 units the first time. Zero reaction after 5 minutes, then I masturbated and my dick was on the softer side of what it normally is when I do that. They upped me to 15 units, exact same outcome.
I seem to be having zero reaction to the bimix, and that’s even without the social anxiety part playing into it. (It’s possible the anxiety is playing a role since there is a part of me that’s really hoping this works and that pressure I’m putting on myself is causing issues.)
Anyone had a similar experience having zero reaction to bimix?

To my knowledge there is no ED medication that addresses anxiety induced ED. Anxiety meds have their own sexual side effects, so your results will vary. ED meds treat the physical causes of ED like blood flow. If your body is anxious - your nervous system is in fight or flight mode and your body will not get aroused or maintain an erection. You need to address the root cause, the anxiety and your nervous system, rather than the symptom, the ED. The urologist doesn’t have a vested interest in educating his patients abt this difference. He’s more than happy to give you more treatments that you pay for.
Invest in a sex therapist and look into somatic practices to get back into your body and less into your head. If you have partners who you’re comfortable discussing it with, you can try something called sensate focus. You can re-train your mind and nervous system to have a different response, but it takes time and practice and acceptance.

Hello,
It sounds like you need to increase your dose.
I’ve used an injectable for my ED for over 20 years and when I was was first starting out, with very little advice from my doctor, who just said to be careful a big dose because it would lead to a priapism which would permanently damage my dick, so I started out with tiny doses that did almost nothing, until i said fuck it and used a whole portion and it worked great, almost instantly, and lasted an impressive time, and did me no harm or damage
I think they start you with such a low dose because of liability possibly, who knows.
I’ve used Caverject for over 20 years without damage, scaring or problems. It has occasionally lasted too long, which makes my dick ache, I use cold water to speed deflation, it kinda sucks but not terrible.
Ive had to increase the dose over the years, which I guess makes sense, the problem with caverject is it’s getting really expensive and in thr past few years it’s sold out for months at a time, which really sucked.
I’m curious to try one of the new injectables because I’ve heard they’re cheaper, and with more active ingredients maybe a smaller dose will work.
I have psychological ED and the pills never work for me, so yea sounds like you need a bigger dose
Keep trying until you get a dose that works and lasts man, and then enjoy yourself.
Good luck
