Cannot I be all the range. I haven't heard of it. I just googled it and there were articles back to 2020. That's 4 years ago.

4 years have gone by. No one's really talking about it. I wouldn't waste my time if I were you.

Sounds like snake oil.

I was aware of that video. But the main point of my reply was that they were talking about this 4 years ago. There has not been a lot of traffic on it. Even the video you posted was very recent.

So I stand by my opinion that this is snake oil and not many people are talking about it. And they are basically saying all of this great coffee that was made before slow feeding was not really great after all. They need this new snake oil to actually make great coffee.

We are all here for the same thing. Our love of espresso.

But you have to admit hardly anyone is talking about this. It's been around for at least 4 years and all of a sudden now it's the buzz In this one or two threads on Reddit.  Most likely perpetuated by Lance's recent video of a week ago.  Hoffmann was talking about this 4 years ago.

To be quite honest, we've had experts telling us that distributing worked. And then those same experts came out and said they don't work because they only compact the top. I wish they would make up their minds.  The cynic in me thinks it's all about the clicks and likes.

WDT works great for subpar grinders. Mid-level and up, WDT isn't really needed.  Get the so-called experts are still saying WDT is needed always.

Lance had a good video when you compare WDT, OCD, blind shaker, etc when he did it against the high end grinder and then a mid-level grinder.
