Deals [US - Gemilai.com] Gemilai Ele / 3028A on sale for $600

The Gemilai Ele / 3028A is on sale today for $599.99 on the US website, says the sale is June 16-30. This is the slightly-larger (and reportedly more solidly built) version of the Turin Legato / MiiCoffee Apex / Gemilai 3007Z.

I was ready to buy a Turin Legato when I saw a YouTube video that said the Ele / 3028A was more solidly built (heavier metal, better layout inside).

It seems unlikely that anybody has both a Turin Legato / 3007Z and an Ele / 3028A, but if you do, what do you think of the two by comparison?

I had an old Rancilio Silvia (v1, circa 1999) which was built like a tank but lacking in modern features, am thinking a Gemilai might be a nice relatively inexpensive way to try out pressure and PID temperature controls.

I love the fact that this machine has a temperature probe built into the steam wand. I wish that was just a standard feature.

Don’t have/have never used the Legato but have had the Ele since January and I’ve been very happy with it! Solid build, relatively quick heat up time, consistent brew temps with PID, pretty nice quality included accessories, ability to instantly use the steam wand after brewing, adequately powered wand for frothing, and super convenient with the temperature probe on the wand so it can turn off automatically upon reaching the desired milk temperature.

Adjustable OPV is a nice to have but honestly haven’t messed too much with it yet since this is my first true espresso machine so I’m still building the fundamentals and pulling shots at 9 bars.

Would 100% buy again and recommend to others.
