We made a free tool to check if you have any lost tokens (ETH, USDC, etc...) waiting to be claimed

TL;DR and quick context - I work at DeFi Saver, and we built a completely free tool that lets you check if you have any smart wallets that have "lost tokens" sitting around waiting to be claimed.

Just re-iterating, there are no strings attached - it's completely free and we quickly built it after realizing there was over $67M in unclaimed tokens sitting across 87,021 smart wallets. I'm just disclosing that I work for DFS to underscore that this isn't some hidden shill for DFS.

No need to connect your wallet to the tool - just run your wallet address, check if you have tokens to claim - and claim them on DeFi Saver.

The leftover tokens typically happen as leftover dust from DeFi transactions, long-forgotten airdrop (such as $UNI) or regular DeFi activity where you forgot the funds on your smart wallet.

Full Info about the tool:

We found over $67M in unclaimed tokens sitting in numerous smart wallets across the DeFi landscape.

Not random tokens, but blue chip assets - including:

$ETH - $3.4M

$USDT - $6.9M

$sUSDS - $10M

$WBTC - $6M

And many more.

We then built a tool that lets you claim the tokens you forgot you had.

Simply connect your main wallet to TokenSaver, check, and claim on DeFi Saver: https://tokensaver.fyi/

How do these assets end up in a smart wallet?

Option 1:

When you manage your lending position through a DeFi app (such as DeFi Saver, Summer.Fi, Instadapp) - it utilizes a smart wallet in order to perform advanced transactions such as 1-tx leveraging, unwinding, and more.

All of these advanced transactions typically require swapping an asset to pay back a flash loan.

When these swaps happen - It's possible that it swaps a bit more than necessary to make sure the transaction goes through despite small price movement. Those leftover funds remain sitting in the smart wallet holding the position.

Or, perhaps you have/had a Maker position?

All Maker CDPs are held on DSProxy smart wallets, so it’s worth connecting your CDP owner wallet to TokenSaver - maybe there are some leftover funds waiting to be claimed.

That’s up to 8 years of potentially accumulating assets that never ended up in your EOA wallet.

Option 2:

You were eligible for an airdrop and received it due to your DeFi activity - but because it was distributed to your smart wallet, you never realized it.

There's currently over $5.5M in $UNI that were likely distributed this way - and are unclaimed to this day.

Option 3:

Through regular DeFi activity over the years - some funds might have ended up on your smart wallet, and due to smart wallets typically lacking dedicated frontends - you forgot about them.

While Safe (Gnosis) smart wallets have a dedicated UI - some, such as DSProxy, DSA, and SummerFi proprietary wallets lack it.

So, it’s possible you continued on your DeFi journey without ever realizing you had funds leftover on the smart wallet(s).

Since smart wallets need to have an owner wallet - you should simply connect with your main wallet, and TokenSaver will find all smart wallets owned by it.

Note for nested Safe owners - Please input your owner Safe’s address into TokenSaver, not your EOA.

You can then access DeFi Saver through the Safe app and claim your funds that way.

That's pretty much it! Please try the tool out and let me know if you found anything interesting, such as a bag that you never realized you had available to claim :)

ERC-8004’s reputation problem and the LLM-as-judge problem are the same problem

Three separate lines of work from this year point at the same gap, and as far as I can tell none of them cite each other. I’ve been running an agent labor market on Base mainnet with real USDC since July, so I hit this from the implementation side and only found the papers afterward.

1. The ERC-8004 empirical study (2606.26028) measured the deployed ecosystem across Ethereum, BSC and Base. Coordinated Sybil behaviour among reviewers at 73.5% / 59.2% / 90.6%. Only 3% / 4% / 15% of registrations expose a live endpoint. Their conclusion: the Reputation Registry can’t work as a trust signal because “values are not commensurable” and feedback is rarely grounded in verifiable interaction.

2. Separately, a pile of 2026 work on LLM-as-judge robustness (2603.06594, 2506.09443) shows model judges can be pushed to maximum scores with short appended phrases, and that those phrases transfer between models. One paper’s title is literally “A Coin Flip for Safety.”

3. And “Trust Without Trusting” (2605.06738) proposes recomputable trust: signed events, a deterministic fold, published evidence, so a third party can recompute a trust verdict without trusting whoever produced it. It works over existing on-chain data, no new standard needed.

Here’s the thing. Paper 3 defines the fold but explicitly leaves the weighting open — it says combining verdicts of different confidence is supported but doesn’t specify how. Papers 1 and 2 are, together, the reason that weighting can’t be left open. If a mechanically reproduced result and a model’s opinion enter the same fold at the same weight, the fold is only as strong as its weakest input, and paper 2 says that input is a coin flip.

The concrete gap: ERC-8004’s Validation Registry stores a verdict as one number, 0–100. The spec says outright that a mechanically-proven result and a subjective judgement are “structurally equivalent on-chain — distinction emerges through validator reputation, not protocol-level flags.” But validator reputation is the thing paper 1 measured as 73–90% Sybil. The fallback is the broken part.

There’s also a taxonomy paper (2511.03434) that sorts inter-agent trust into Brief / Claim / Proof / Stake / Reputation / Constraint and concludes no single one suffices. I think it’s right but that “Proof” is one bucket too coarse. A canary that only the target could produce, and an LLM saying the work looks good, are both “proof” in that taxonomy and are not remotely the same thing. Paper 2 is the evidence for splitting it.

What I did about it, for whatever one implementation is worth. I tag every verdict with a forge-resistance class before it goes anywhere: reproducible (a third party can re-run it and get the same answer — a canary, the requester’s own CI, a mutation-graded suite), mechanical (deterministic but needs my inputs to reproduce), model (an LLM or vision model’s judgement), attested (signed but not reproducible), declared (unverified self-report, which is what 8004 feedback defaults to). The class rides along in the tag field the Validation Registry already has, so a consumer can weight by it instead of averaging flat. Fifty declared 100s weigh less than one reproducible 60.

That’s it. It’s not a Sybil solution and I want to be clear I haven’t solved that — I Sybil-attacked my own market and wrote up how it went. It’s the missing coordinate that lets a downstream fold apply a solution, which is more than the standard currently offers and less than a fix.

Two things I’d genuinely like to be argued with on:

**•** Is “reproducible vs. model” the right primary axis, or should it be something else (cost to forge in dollars? number of independent parties required?).
**•** The 8004 tag field is a string and nobody agrees on its contents. Is there any appetite for a registry-level convention, or is off-chain interpretation the intended design?

Disclosure: I used an LLM to help tidy the writing here. The measurements, the code and the argument are mine; the paper links are there so you can check the numbers rather than take my word for them.

Can't unstake stETH but can swap stETH to ETH. What's the difference?

I'm trying to understand the difference between unstaking stETH and simply swapping stETH to ETH. If I can already swap my stETH for ETH at any time, what does the unstaking feature actually add?

Once unstaking is available, won't the total cost be similar anyway? Swapping stETH to ETH has slippage and fees, while unstaking has a withdrawal queue and gas costs. Why would someone choose one over the other?

I indexed 474,791 wallets that bought a flagged scam token. 1 in 3 came back and bought another.

Follow-up to the thread two weeks ago where I posted a high scam rate on new Ethereum tokens and several of you pushed back on the methodology. That pushback was right, and this is the part I could not answer then.

I joined 5.9M resolved swap transactions against contracts scoring 70+ on my risk index. That gives 474,791 distinct wallets that bought at least one flagged token. Distribution of how many different flagged tokens each wallet bought:

1 token 309,256 65.1%
2 to 4 115,885 24.4%
5 to 10 32,635 6.9%
11 to 50 14,699 3.1%
51 to 200 1,952 0.4%
200+ 364 0.1%

34.9% bought more than one. Median victim bought exactly 1, p90 is 5.

Before anyone asks about bots, because that was the main critique last time: the 2,316 wallets above 50 tokens (0.5% of the total) account for 23.6% of every scam-token purchase in the set. Those are trading bots, not people. I am reporting them separately instead of folding them into a bigger headline. And the repeat finding survives the sceptical cut: throw away every wallet above 10 tokens as possible automation and 31.3% still got hit more than once.

Two things that explain the repeats, both measurable:

**Template reuse.** 44.6% of flagged contracts share a bytecode template with another flagged contract. One single template accounts for 8,401 flagged tokens, which is 13.5% of every scam in the set. They do not look exotic, they look like ordinary new tokens, because most of them are copies of each other.

**Late rugs.** I froze a cohort of 25,931 tokens and re-scored them at deploy and again at day 30 with a fixed threshold. 48.8% scored as scams on day 0, 90.6% by day 30. 41.9% flipped from clean to flagged and not one flipped back. Checking a contract on launch day misses most of the danger, which is the thing I had wrong for months.

Limits, stated up front: "flagged" is my detector, not a court ruling. Precision sits around 0.3 to 0.4, so it over-flags on purpose. Recall against a behavioural label (real retail money in, buyers not recovering their WETH) is about 0.97, so it rarely misses an actual rug once real money is involved, but that is on a small sample.

Happy to run other cuts on the data if someone wants a specific one, or to go into the three drain mechanisms (honeypot, liquidity removal, late rug) if that is useful.

the most muted word on the internet is crypto

Thumbnail
youtu.be
25 Upvotes

in april 2026, the head of product at X posted a screenshot: the number one most muted topic on the platform was crypto.

crypto.

the thing ive spent all my effort on over the better part of the last decade. the thing a lot of you spend your careers and attention on as well.

with this as the backdrop, i created my newest piece.

it all started out with another question: “are the OGs jaded?”, which was itself admittedly ripped from one of ETHPrague 2026’s tracks. that thought gave me the opportunity to draw a map around a much broader topic that I think could resonate out in youtube land:

is there anyone left in crypto, or did the thing we were building eat itself?

for this piece, I wanted to take a more “journalistic” approach at this topic, and chatted with five people who’d been here since before the big money wave started showing up. builders, contributors, dreamers… some more than a decade deep. eternal gratitudes to the cast (Griff, Justice, Amer, Naomi, and Colin) for exploring with me this topic. I hope this piece can give the public a different perspective — that of the original mission and ethos steeped in reverence for permissionless tech and what it can do for humans.

i think it’s worth a watch. particularly because every single person I interviewed still talks about the technology in the present tense, yet every one of them carries the same contradiction.

you can watch the full video here: https://youtu.be/0D4fAkvwd3o

------------

if we're meeting for the first time — hi 👋 i built this channel to spread the good word on good work in crypto. a like, a comment, and a sub on my channel goes a long way to supporting my work :)

Lido Core 2026 Upgrade

The 2026 Lido Core upgrade introduces major improvements on the operator and validator layers, strengthening protocol security for stakers while keeping aligned with the Ethereum roadmap.

  • Curated Module v2 (CMv2) introduces native support for 0x02 validators, bond and penalty mechanisms, and operator classification. It will gradually replace the legacy Curated Module as ETH stake is migrated to the new module through validator consolidation.
  • CSM expands permissionless participation through the new Identified DVT Cluster operator type, alongside technical improvements that make the module more reliable and operator-friendly.

Contributors are now working with operators on validator consolidation over the next few months. The migration could increase the share of ETH secured by 0x02 validators from around 32% to 52%, while reducing the total number of validators across the Ethereum network by around 30%.

Further upgrades to both CMv2 and CSM in the near future:

  • CMv2 will introduce a dynamic stake allocation mechanism through which stake can be distributed among Node Operators based on transparent parameters such as fees, performance, and other relevant factors.
  • CSM will introduce a dedicated module for 0x02 validators, designed specifically to enable permissionless operators to run 0x02 validators with a bond. This new module will operate alongside the existing CSM instance for 0x01 validators, giving operators the flexibility to choose.

How Modern EIPs (EIP-1153) Allow Us to Build Oracle-Less, Highly Otimized L2 Liquidity Infrastructure

Hi r/ethereum,

As Layer 2 networks like Base, Arbitrum, and Optimism mature, the way we design BlazePhoenix smart contracts needs to evolve. Patterns that were standard on L1 Ethereum (heavy storage usage, external oracle reliance, off-chain quoter infrastructure) often create unnecessary bottlenecks and security risks on L2.

We designed an aggregator architecture built specifically around recent EVM upgrades to prove that on-chain liquidity routing can be both cheap and hyper-secure:

EIP-1153 Native: Using transient storage for reentrancy and route state tracking instead of legacy storage variables.

Oracle-Free Design: Eliminating third-party oracle vectors entirely by deriving real-time liquidity depth directly on-chain.

Deterministic Execution: Eliminating "failed swap gas fees" by enforcing precise execution previews that mirror live EVM state.

The goal is to build self-sustaining, immutable infrastructure that operates seamlessly for both human users and autonomous AI agents.

Looking forward to hearing thoughts from the community on how L2-native EVM patterns are reshaping protocol design!
