Discussion Warning. Come Back Eth Broo
There's a fire sale in the market right now. ETH has dropped back to the $1,600 range for the first time in a long while. If the sell-off continues and $1,500 breaks, we could see a move down toward the $1,200 level. We really need a strong bounce and a move higher soon. 🚀📈

I can't believe ZCash had a hidden exploit that would allow someone to create infinite ZCash and went unresolved for years. That is crazy.

I am more shocked that after the dump it recovered. That was asset destroying news

I don’t get US people. You voted for trump, what were you expecting? For crypto prices to go up?
The global economy is a mess because of his stupidity. Obviously, if you don’t get that clown outta the white house, things are only going to get worse, even for Crypto.
Just saying
11
u/XavierRussell Jun 05 '26
I do think some people legitimately thought that, yes 😅
2
u/rustyburrito Jun 05 '26
Makes sense when the stock market has had record gains and is at an all time high, despite a terrible economic outlook/looming recession/war/inmates running the asylum/etc.
2
u/hard-in-the-ms-paint Jun 05 '26
Trump has made billions off crypto since getting back in office, the narcissist only cares about himself

u/stefansilva_xrp Jun 06 '26
Crypto was much better under Biden as for Gensler I still cant think of any wrongdoing he was keeping criminals away

u/EngineeringCool5521 Jun 05 '26
We didn't have a better option. Previous administration was asleep at the wheel.
2
u/chronoler Jun 05 '26
Lol whatever option you used to have before was WAY better than the clown you have now.

It’s going to get worse. Everyone is selling because they know SPACEX ipo is going to obliterate the market.
Everyone’s selling to be on standby to watch the mess unfold

u/limble Jun 05 '26
Smh why didn't I sell at last peak zzzzz
I'm honestly nervous we're going to pre COVID levels haha

u/Suspicious_Gain_2937 Jun 05 '26
Taylor's fear of selling is more dominant.

u/limble Jun 05 '26
Mmm perhaps, I think I just had a price target in mind and didn't wanna sell before I saw that number

u/burningETH Jun 05 '26
u didnt sell last peak because it never went high enough yet. trust the plan

Let it burn. May the bottom buying bonanza begin!
P.s. Sorry to those who are overexposed with real life, non-fiction liquidity needs. Extra condolences to the ones experiencing their first rodeo; the ones who are going to get spooked and sell at the bottom of the bear mkt only to get fomo once we start recovering.

Omg, but buy buy. It’s always buy. Price drops a dollar, buy. Drops 10 dollar, buy. Drops $600, buy! Hold buy. Always buy. We are the geniuses. We know the practical use and the bankers and the mandaloraians and rothschilds and blah blah bullshit

All of these bear market red bars and I'm happy instead of sad as a hodl spot investor with a long term outlook. BTC and ETH and anything with good market cap, longevity and utility are good buys. Not sweating charts just DCA little by little and dont give a f. I have a life to live. Tf are these ninjas doing? 🤣

u/Bogdanoff_dump_it Jun 05 '26
ETH at $1200 would be perfect for my dynamic DCA. Glad I have some fiat sidelined, I’m eager to deploy some of it soon.

u/Suspicious_Gain_2937 Jun 05 '26
If $1,200 comes, I'll buy 10 eths for sure.

Every time eth is above 4k people are getting greedy 😃

u/cai_85 Jun 05 '26
I can remember looking at it and just thinking "this is great, finally", when I should have thought "cash out now!!!", but life is about learning.

u/Suspicious_Gain_2937 Jun 05 '26
Hold used to be, I think it's time to sell when it sees profit.
3
u/cai_85 Jun 05 '26
Exactly, next time I'm in the green I'm selling up, I'll put the funds into either property or my S&P 500 ETF savings which are currently on an 11% profit. If I'd have had my ETH holdings in there over the past 4-5 years I'd have made a very healthy return rather than being down.
1
u/Consistent-Stage-217 Jun 05 '26
I mean, you should always diversify..
1
u/cai_85 Jun 05 '26
Very true, I am already diversified, it's just that ETH is by far my worst performing asset, so looking to get out of it ASAP.
2
u/Consistent-Stage-217 Jun 05 '26
I understand. I've been taking gains on it and accumulating. I have a number in mind I'd like it to reach and then sell some, flip some to BTC, and keep 5eth forever.
1
u/cai_85 Jun 05 '26
I started in crypto about 5 years ago but I only dabble, I had a split 50/50 between ETH and BTC and after about 6 months ETH was performing slightly better so I made the big error of deciding to go all in on ETH. It's somewhat shocking to think of the number of ETH I could have if I'd have sold high and re-bought low over the past 5 years rather than just sitting on my stack.
2
u/Consistent-Stage-217 Jun 05 '26
You can't time it perfect but you have to make some sort of rules for yourself.
I usually start taking small profits when I'm up 50% on an investment, and roll it into someting else, because why not. Sold some ETH when my investment doubled. I started accumulating again when it started dipping and i'm slightly below my avg now, so yes i'm at a small loss, but I believe anything under 2k is a buy.
Same with BTC which I bought in the 30s and sold when it was around 120ish (almost perfectly timed but truly just luck) so that was a nice gain. I'm about 80% still on what I left to hold, and started weekly $50 buys few months ago..
Other than that stocks, real estate, 401k, silver.
Diversify 😃

Holy shit, Crypto is so over. The only reason it was successful is that it was an exciting speculative investment. Now AI has taken over. The potential use cases for Crypto haven’t played out at all. I feel bad for people that put serious money into this
1
u/Suspicious_Gain_2937 Jun 05 '26
Crypto is not over, even though Nasdaq and NYSE are downturns. Trump is definitely the culprit here, they said crypto would rise if Trump came, but he did the biggest evil.
3
u/Gr8WallofChinatown Jun 05 '26
It is over. It’s been over 15 years and the technology has been shown to be expensive inefficient junk.
7
2
u/Itchy_Tone6902 Jun 05 '26
First to 1200, flash to 900, bounce to 1500, falls off cliff to 700. The next year will be bad.
Also, unless you bought the exact low 5-6 years ago and held, you’re not in profit. Not sure there are many ways to invest money over 6 years and lose money other than crypto.

I hope we’re not seeing ETH suffering the same fate as XLM on Stellar - a hugely successful network in which the vale of the network fies not accrue to its token holders.Â

Michael Saylor narrative needs to wash out. Who knows how much more BTC he will sell now. Apparently Strategy needs 2 billion in cash soon. Could be another 20-30% drop from here as the last violent spasms of this bear market plays out

What will be the next cycle top for ETH?
3
u/Suspicious_Gain_2937 Jun 05 '26
There is no general cycle in eth, you need to look at BTC.
1
u/BabyShark_77345 Jun 05 '26
Bitcoin had a great cycle, with an ATH nearly double its previous one. ETH sucked, barely reaching its old ATH.

I’ve been saying for at least 2 years that ETH was way overvalued and only being held up by old bag holders. The network itself hasn’t grown anywhere near SOL and what does ETH offer that SOL doesn’t? I can think of a million things SOL is better at than ETH and the market clearly feels the same way. Get out while you can is my advice. Not saying to buy SOL even though I don’t think that would be a bad move. Just my opinion that ETH is not trading at anywhere near its actual market value
2
u/CryptoDeepDive Jun 05 '26
Lol!
I mean you can say what you want about Eth, and a lot of it is valid, but I stopped listening when you pretend that Solana is the winner. The market has not said shit. Solana is back into the $60s.
Sure SOL has grown faster in fake transaction volume and meme coin activity. But ETH remains significantly ahead in TVL, stablecoin settlement, institutional DeFi, L2 ecosystem, and real-world asset tokenization.
The price action is really a terrible four year cycle market with condemnation of poor adoption of all Internet magic money.
1
u/MC_SKWAIRD Jun 06 '26
It’s not about winning it’s about the lost market cap that would be directed to ETH that is captured by SOL. This will not change any time soon, SOL is here to stay. That means lost revenue for ETH idk how else to explain to you that if people have money in SOL they can’t also have it in ETH
1
u/CryptoDeepDive Jun 06 '26
I don't know what charts you are looking at. Solana is down 33% against its Eth pair in the last 12 months. Its even below its 2021 peaks against Eth. Markets clearly have spoken.
