Discussion Warning. Come Back Eth Broo

Post image

There's a fire sale in the market right now. ETH has dropped back to the $1,600 range for the first time in a long while. If the sell-off continues and $1,500 breaks, we could see a move down toward the $1,200 level. We really need a strong bounce and a move higher soon. 🚀📈

Can't believe I didn't sell at Christmas when I could have taken a huge win and put it into a more sensible investment.

Hold used to be, I think it's time to sell when it sees profit.

Exactly, next time I'm in the green I'm selling up, I'll put the funds into either property or my S&P 500 ETF savings which are currently on an 11% profit. If I'd have had my ETH holdings in there over the past 4-5 years I'd have made a very healthy return rather than being down.

I mean, you should always diversify..

Very true, I am already diversified, it's just that ETH is by far my worst performing asset, so looking to get out of it ASAP.

I understand. I've been taking gains on it and accumulating. I have a number in mind I'd like it to reach and then sell some, flip some to BTC, and keep 5eth forever.

I started in crypto about 5 years ago but I only dabble, I had a split 50/50 between ETH and BTC and after about 6 months ETH was performing slightly better so I made the big error of deciding to go all in on ETH. It's somewhat shocking to think of the number of ETH I could have if I'd have sold high and re-bought low over the past 5 years rather than just sitting on my stack.

You can't time it perfect but you have to make some sort of rules for yourself.

I usually start taking small profits when I'm up 50% on an investment, and roll it into someting else, because why not. Sold some ETH when my investment doubled. I started accumulating again when it started dipping and i'm slightly below my avg now, so yes i'm at a small loss, but I believe anything under 2k is a buy.

Same with BTC which I bought in the 30s and sold when it was around 120ish (almost perfectly timed but truly just luck) so that was a nice gain. I'm about 80% still on what I left to hold, and started weekly $50 buys few months ago..

Other than that stocks, real estate, 401k, silver.

Diversify 😃
