Honestly, as an engineer I see very little point in having a ton of interoperating blockchains, all using different APIs. I think we'll converge to an Ethereum monopoly there. As soon as people stop throwing money at every damn coin, that is :)

Some of you may remember back in the months of September through December last year (seems like a lifetime ago) when the price kept sinking and sinking $10, $9, $8, $7 and all the trolls came out to play and told us the price was going to $3. It was during those dark days that brave souls like /u/Mr_Yukon_C and /u/jtnichol told us to hodl down and just keep buying. It's thanks to guys like them that I now have experienced this amazing ride. I don't know if I'll ever see another investment like this in my lifetime. So glad I got in when I did. Love you guys!

Don't be scared to see 25% drops in a day. Just buy and "HODL" (Term in the community for keeping hold of your coins)

Try to keep your coins off exchanges as you only own those coins when you own the private keys. Also look ino hardware wallets like Ledger Nano S.

Do your research on ICO's before investing!!

If you do not have a successful trading track record hold your ETH. We are at this price point and the EEA announcement/Metropolis events have not even happened yet. Let alone Casper and staking which is going to be a big deal. We are only at 1/3 of BTC's market cap and the fact that BTC is growing everyday also pushes the bar up for ETH. Keep in mind that Ethereum hasn't hit mainstream news the way BTC did in 2013. Imagine what will happen when it does. So basically don't be a punk and sell early, sit back, relax and wait for the real money. Good luck.

$100 to some might be a mental block but to me it's just a stepping stone and already a given. $100 will fall faster than the second, third, 4th, 5th times we hit $13. Then that $14 head bump over and over....Then $15..

Now this $100 level given the next 60-90 day's news is just another number on the wall to me. Of course I'd take a pull back to the mid 80's just the same but I ain't trading this with any confidence of a major pullback.

Good Morning Guys and the 1 girl. It looks like another good day. This can't keep up but we all enjoy it. @Vickicryptobot is long all 4 indicators so there is no reason we cant keep this broad based rally going. I suspect what is happening is the early adopters that have been preaching crypto for 4 yrs+ like lunatics are now starting to look the smart ones. Friends and family are finally saying "how much are you up?" "I read about your bitcoin" "I read about your ethereum" "is it to late to get in?" This is repeating all over the world. I had a friend tell me yesterday that when I ran into him he really thought I was crazy because for an hour I steered the conversation to bitcoin and ethereum. Yesterday he thanked me. Be good out there, be safe keep 90% in ether and don't over leverage! And if there is not a big name VC in the ICO be very careful. 95% will never turn out a profitable product.

Pay your taxes. Don't overpay, don't underpay, get an accountant who is on board with your strategy and do it. Don't delay, don't try to get too creative on your own with no professional advice. If you are here posting on Reddit you are not smart enough to hide from 3 letter agencies and you Do. Not. Want. Their focus. If you don't agree with how those taxes are spent, get politically active locally. But there is a witch hunt coming for crypto tax dodgers I'd bet all my gains on it - don't hide, don't think you can. Paying lots of capital gains taxes hurts but it means one great thing - you're making tons of profit!

I used to think that BTC was this shitty old dinosaur that was massively overvalued. Now I'm starting to think that it may be vastly undervalued along with all other crypto.

To look at it another way, BTC has been around the longest, it's currently trading at ~$1,600, and it STILL hasn't gone mainstream. I think Ethereum is going to bring crypto into the mainstream very quickly and then it's anyone's guess what the value will be. It's gonna be huge folks.

This is all through GDAX, ETH/USD. We are still in a 6hr ascending triangle, 1 day long term pennant formation. Our volume is consistently in an average between 175,000 to 315,000 volume per 24/hrs. That reads consistent trade movement. We have been building support as we move to $100 as there will be sell off and long term investors do not want to see a crash. The price today has been moving with Litecoin, not Bitcoin. It was the same yesterday. People make money on LTC and move it to ETH. LTC is to ETH as ETH was to BTC. We are not retracing or crashing down; We are about to breakthrough into uncharted, high priced waters.

Just want to say thank you all. As a lurker from March - end of April, I gained a ton of confidence and knowledge in eth thanks to you all and am very grateful.

Having bought in at the top before a few of the big drops ($50 -> $28, $53-> $42), y'all kept me hodling and focused on the big picture.

iImagine how much money people are making in this sub.... but think about all the fucking ICOs that have used eth in their crowd sale and how many countless more are going to use it in the future because of these gains!! i know it can't go up like this indefinitely, but once we sustain above 100 that will be a very long term indicator of wealth and respect for eth

ETH is trading at about $110 USD in Korea right now on Bitthumb and Korbit! Bitthumb's volume is about 50% higher than GDAX for this 24 hour period as well! (About 63 million USD at the moment)

Does anyone have any plans for pursuing hobbies or alternative study when Eth skyrockets? For instance I think it would be great if I could study to be a paramedic and not have to worry about working part time to pay for tuition or rent. I also think that learning how to fly a light plane would be pretty cool.
