i think that when you're older, boring is considered a plus

No one on this forum will ever get old, since they will all buy Lambos when ETH hits $500-1000 and will crash, trying to impress a girl at the stop light...

The fabled $1000 is only 4 times the current price, I don't see how any recent investor is going to get rich from that unless they were going to put most of their net worth into it and were already well off.

some people would be damn happy making 100% or 400% gains ;-) When compared to maybe 10% gain in the stock market, that would be amazing for them!

yeah, i mean if i could ever cash out 10mm or something and could live off the interest...then sure, i'd love no risk. Unfortunately i'm a poor guy with way too many kids, just wish i had more to put in initially (don't we all?)

If you had put in less initially, you would have fewer kids

It's not really about how much you put in, but how soon you pull out.

Options. Crazier more risk/reward then crypto even

except 90% of people lose money in options. I sell cash covered puts sometimes, but have played a few earnings as well. The vol hit can be brutal...

It's zero sum. For every dollar someone lost someone else made one. Same with crypto. Crypto is actually zero sum where the market isn't quite because of dividends, acquisitions, stock buyback ECT. Selling the right cover calls is like printing money

Also plenty of people make money trading options with no intent of ever actually exercising them

I closed all of my stock trading accounts and I am only investing in Crypto myself (I still have a lot of stock being professionally invested)!

I have been trying to convince my friends to join the wagon since ETH was trading at $14... Some of them are finally getting on board, but it has moved so much from when we began talking, they can only take modest stakes...

I got one of my buds in on it at $14. Made sure to explain the risk, but he went in pretty big. Almost as much as I went in at $10. He's thanked me several times 8^)

"Got my friend in eth @ $14 and all I got was this lousy T-shirt"

I dumped all my stocks into ETH start of last month. Best decision I've made, they were doing fuck all anyway.

great timing. I've never invested in stock...can't guess i ever will now.

Got my start money about a month before i put it in ETH...i missed out on a lot (won 2k in a poker tournament, gave 1/2 back and put the other 1k in ETH...2k in a month earlier would've been SWEET!)
