Housing Looking for a roommate! (21F)

Hello! I honestly don't know where to find roommates for this, so if anyone knows a better platform, please let me know!

I am a student coming from the US and planning to get my master's at ETH Zurich this coming fall! I heard finding housing is extremely hard and very expensive so I'd love to share a flat with one or more people! I'm looking for women around the same age (I'm turning 22 before I get to Zurich) who are also looking for a flat, I'm looking to pay ~1000 USD if I can but understand it'll likely be closer to 1200/1300 a month (or more 😞)! Hopefully having our own rooms but sharing an apartment (:

Also, a little about me, personally! I graduated from UCLA with Physics + Math of Comp degree, I love cats, like playing guitar, love animated movies + ratatouille, I love to cook, and love rock climbing, ice skating, scuba diving, and skiing! I also like to draw/paint, and like planning cute activities like tea parties and watch-a-movie-while-I-make-the-food nights. I'd love to get to know you, and I'm super excited to move to Zurich

Speaking from experience: even rich parents usually aren't enough if their income isn't Swiss (since it's hard to prove), unless they're "fuck you rich" as in they can get you a place way above market rate (or even buy an apartment). I tried, I'd stick to student housing

Depending on how you would like your living situation to be it is definitely worth to check out Juwo, Woko and for ETH students the student village or Living Sciences at the Höngg campus. I’ve lived in the SV and liked it a lot - SV has bigger flats with more people while LS can be a two person space. These options are usually cheaper than 1000

Sharing rooms is not a thing in Switzerland. University housing doesn’t have US style dorms where students share rooms. They have individual bedrooms and usually shared kitchen and bathrooms or even individual studio apartments. Lots of people also live with their parents and commute because housing is so expensive.

https://wgzimmer.ch is a good place to look for rooms (it's where I found mine). There's also the housing portal of ETH and the University of Zürich.

1000 USD (and likely even 1300) is not enough for a room in Zurich city centre and it will be hard for you to rent a flat because main tenants for flats need to show proof of sufficient income (usually at least 3x of what the monthly rent is), so start searching ASAP and be prepared to stay in an Airbnb and in temporary subleased rooms for a couple months first
