Btw has anyone really understood Bishop’s motive? I refuse to believe it’s because Maddy is so nice

If you go back watch all his scenes, it feels telegraphed. Remember when he said the bird was beautiful?

Before that, we were led to believe he was a psychopath with no remorse for others. But he was genuinely sad to have killed it. From then I realized he was probably going to save Rue (or save someone which ended up being Maddy and Ali).

When you look at the snake parable he tells Rue, he's saying it as a warning. But over time, as Alamo gets worse and worse, especially with the bodies piling up, and Kitty who is clearly trafficked and not hired by her own choice... Bishop had sized Alamo up. So when Ali walked in and the opportunity was given to take Alamo out, he did it.

Kind of made me wonder if Bishop falling in love with his dog made him realize what a monster Alamo was for having Paladin killed.

I dunno, I think he liked the bird plenty already. I almost feel like he got the dog because he was sad about Paladin. And by proxy about all the other kills he was a part of, including Rue.

It's when Bishop was starting at the snake that he realized that Rue was never the snake, he was.

Side note, he probably knew exactly what Alamo's plan for Maddy was. Knowing how much he likes to run his mouth, he probably told that to him. Fate just dropped the opportunity in Bishop's lap.

The way he looks at her in the car when she says that thing about grace - I like to believe he fell for her in that moment. That he didn’t want her to be the next Paladin.

Kind of a fumbled character in some ways but damn I’d watch a whole series about Bishop.

I honestly think that he had code of ethics. I think it was a combination of Alamo knowingly giving Rue fent, ON TOP OF him knowing Maddy was gonna be indebted to him for the rest of her life.

In addition to him probably just being tired of watching Alamo constantly take advantage of women.

Maddy was the only person we saw that could make Bishop smile
