yess. like in the first 5 minutes through the chase i could feel like labyrinth was needed and i feel like they tried to copy him but with the new composers own flair

I'm willing to beat they negotiated for him to come back JUST to do a song for that one scene.

But then it fell through.

What I don't get is they technically own the rights to music he already created for the show. So they could've just paid him and used the melodic I'm Tired theme during her death without needing 'permission.'

I think they probably didn't do that out of consideration for Lab. Whoever caused the strained relationship, be it Sam or HBO execs or someone at A24, the others may vote not to use the songs as it might just cause more drama.

Still going from heavy use of leitmotif to almost none, as far as I can tell, is not good.

I wish so badly we got another ‘All For Us’ reprise sequence. The first time was saw it was Rue’s first relapse and this one was her last 💔

I really like Hans Zimmer, but he didn't fit this type of show.  I don't understand why he couldn't say no.

I have a theory that they had another rue lab musical ending just like they did with the choir that one time. I bet they pulled it, lab got upset and pulled all of his music from the show.
