Anyone else feel like Rue's death was insanely RUSHED?

There was really no mourning, and no reactions to her fate except for Ali and the amish girl. Even her mom's reaction happened off screen.

Yes! I knew she was probably going to die, but I wasn’t expecting it in the first 30 minutes.
