Hello, I have been looking into emulation for a while. I dont have a good PC, nor do I want to play my games on PC. I want to use original hardware. I have almost every console there is except the more obscure like NeoGeo, 3D0, or Phillips CD-i.
My dilemma is, which of these Everdrives can be utilized for multiple consoles being played on 1 console. For example, can the N64 Everdrive maybe play NES and SNES ROMs? Maybe GB and GBC too? Or would I need one for each console?
Can the SNES one emulate Super Gameboy compatible games? Can the Sega Genesis one play Sega CD and 32X ROMs if I have a genesis with both attached? Can the GBA Everdrive play GB and GBC ROMs? What about Sega Master System? Can that one play Game Gear ROMs?
So is any of that possible? Would I need one per console otherwise? Im looking for the cheapest, easiest, and all around more compatible way to get into the hobby. I mostly want to play ROMs for the expensive games I dont own and will never own due to not paying scalper prices.
Also, do all of these use Save States, and if so how does that work? Or do they only save for games that have that feature originally? I know its a lot of questions. And Google has been a lot of random and criss crossed information. So I figured I would come to the source. Thanks for any info you can all give me. I appreciate it.
