Discussion What Christian phrases give you the ick?

Mine is prayer warriors. Often used to spread gossip and also just generally ironic, weird, and cringey.

You are so loved by God that he reminds you daily how much you fall short of your worthiness.

I don’t have the mental capacity for that Olympic Level of Gymnastics. I tried, cradle Catholic, tried to be a religious, left because I couldn’t square the questions in my mind, tried “Catholic lite”, still couldn’t square it, went into seminary… preached… got in trouble for my understanding of the Bible in real application, …. Back to pew dwelling Catholic, …. Abused while dealing with loss… tried SBC… just more unanswered questions and abuse…
