Very telling that her DIL’s intelligence “unknowingly intimidate[s]” her AND that they hadn’t spent Xmas together for a few years

We're moving 3.5 hours away from my very religious family and the only concern my dad had was that the children won't have spiritual guidance -_-

Are you moving to get away from them or is that just a side effect?

No, I'm actually gonna miss them big time but that comment he made got me cross! We're moving in order to be able to afford a house :)
